'Reflections From A Dream' & other stuff.....

Greetings Worlds !!

It's about 11.30am & I'm sat here blasting Pink Floyd thru' the
house !!  It's the tape I mentioned last night, which I had put onto Cd's for myself - rather than play the tapes......

More about music later !!

ME is still out, probably with her boyfriend, M.... she spent the night over at his place, so I expect we'll see them later on today.  J is here, keeping an eye on me..... mainly as B has gone out & - I think - I put the willies up him yesterday !!  To explain.....

As mentioned yesterday... well, late last night....... between us, we fitted the 'new' TV.  It was the one that, our neighbour P gave us. Anyhoo - J was kind of concerned yesterday, after I had been in the loft space & done the bit of aerial wiring, that I didn't look too well !!

He actually said "you look like sh*t" !!  It's true, I probably did - it wasn't hard work - but, it did take it out of me, just a little bit !!  But - the good news is - after climbing around a bit, we now have the TV working well, in our room. Altho' at the time it was given to us, I didn't really know what we were going to do with it - well, it's sat nicely on the chest of drawers & really is a big improvement on the old one !!

Last night, we watched a bit of a film - a DVD - and this morning, B was able to watch one of her cooking shows that she likes.......... it was a great gift !!  Even if we do have a spare TV now !!  I'm sure we'll find a home for it at some point - it's tucked away, in the loft now - so, it's not going anywhere's !!

The thing we will have to get used to - the new TV has a much bigger screen.... which kind of makes the old one look really small !!  It's not that much bigger, it just looks it..... oh well, a nice gift, thanks P !!

I've just had a very panicked B on the 'phone.  She couldn't find the bank card !!  I knew she had it, as I saw her put it in her bag, before she left home !!  Never mind - I called back a few minutes later & she had found it.... he was in her bag, so it probably fell out of the
wallet !!  Oh well..... a few minutes of madness there !!

A strange car has pulled up & parked outside of our house.... very weird !!  It can't be anybody from our little Close - or else they would of parked away from us.... never mind.

In the post this morning, I had 2 DVD's reach me !! "Yippeeeee !" More movie's to watch !!  This time, the films are.... 'The Right Stuff'... which is all bout the first American's into space... and the brilliant 'The Fisher King' !!

The latter stars Robin Williams & Jeff Bridges and was directed by the legend that is Terry Gilliam !!  I love that guy's films... I could watch them over & over !!  Brilliant stuff - I will enjoy watching them later !!

I'm also going to enjoy watching the F1 qualifying, which starts about 1pm.  That means there will be a race on TV tomorrow, so I'll have to record that & watch it another time.  Being a Sunday, I hope we will make it to Church - especially as we've not been for the last month !!

If we can go - we'll meet up with our Bishop & discuss the "going to Temple" thing... which seems to be a topic on everybody's minds at the moment, even if it's not really on ours !!  It would be good to go - but, I can't see it happening - not now anyways !!

It won't hurt to speak, with the Bishop, about it..... but, I honestly don't think it will go much further than that.  But, you never know..... maybe one day - we'll see what happens !! On Monday - I think - we're having a visit from 2 of the guys in Church - so, maybe it might come up then.  I will let you know......

As coincidence would have it - I've just had a knock on the door & it was my old college lecture friend.... a Jehovah's Witness.  He didn't want to come in - it was just a "flying visit".... so, he'll come back another time, I guess. Onwards & back to music....

This Pink Floyd tape, from Los Angeles 1975, is really good !!  I'm kicking myself for not making a Cd of it before !!  Never mind - I've got one now - so, at least the tape, if it breaks, won't get completely lost !!

I've had this concert, on Cd, for quite a few years.... but, not from this tape !!  This one is far better & I suspect some of my friends will be crying, in the hope I will give them a copy..... come off of it guys, you know me better than that !!

As I won't be posting tomorrow - I've decided to write about another Zeppelin concert..... it actually happened on September 23rd 1971... so, I'm a day early really !!  Oh well - it was recorded on the groups first tour of Japan, from the first night of the tour, in Tokyo.... and to say the least, it is a bit special !!

This is a really good concert & as very good recording as well !!  If you get chance to hear it - give it a go, just don't buy it... spend your money on other, official stuff !!  More another day - probably on Monday !!

Right what now...... well, the motor racing is on in less than 30 minutes, so I better think about shutting this down & turning the sound up on the TV.  At least all won't be lost - while I'm watching the F1, I can transfer another tape over to disc !!  I don't really need to listen to it, as it plays - as long as I keep an eye on the Cd player !!

So - for now at least - I will be on my ways..... thank you for logging in... until next time..
