Whitesnake & sticking pins in my foo - Ho-hum !!

Hi everybody !!

It's a very wet & 'orrid Monday afternoon, here in England - well, in this part of the country, at least !! I haven't seen a weather forecast today - so, I've no idea what is happening everywhere else.... oh
well !!

As I type, B is sat a few feet away, sorting out some washing... I think it's come out of the dryer - tho' I really don't know for sure. I got up early - well for me, at least - and was here about's, when B went out at 8.30am..... my plan was to see her off & then have a bit of a tidy up - mainly my stuff, here on the table !!

Anyhoo - that didn't take too long, so I started to do the rec room...... and, after about an hour, I gave up on that.... my back was killing me, sooooo !! I even (actually) wore my back brace.... I only wear it, from time time now... to explain.

After the first surgery - back in May - I had to wear a back brace, mainly to help support myself, as I pottered around the hospital. Well, as long time readers will know, that all went tits up - and I landed up in hospital for 3 months, instead of the 10 days I was told !! So - as I was only meant to wear the brace, for 3 months - it's been well used & now, I only wear it when my back hurts or needs support - like today !!

Anyways - as I wasn't feeling too brilliant... I went back to bed, expecting B to be home around 1pm, to wake me up & what have
you !! As it turned out - it was well past 3.30, before she actually arrived.... nevermind - if the 'phone hadn't go off, I would of been asleep... when she got here & what have you... as I say, nevermind !!

So, B is home now... as for ME, she is at work & J... well, he is at Uni - as mentioned before, in earlier posts !!

ME is going to be on holiday, next week... so she is really looking forward to that !! I think M & her are going up to Alton Towers, for a couple of days..... not something I would of done - in my youth - but, "hey" - the times have changed a lot over the years !!

Right... after a bit of a crap start - I will move right along !!

Last night, I remembered I had made a quick recording of the film soundtrack of 'Apocalypse Now - Redux'. I did it, before I actually went into the hospital - but, I didn't have the time to transfer it over to the Mini Egg (my iPod thingy)..... As some of you will know, I enjoy listening to the soundtracks of DVD's - rather than watching the
things !!

Now then - this room of ours, well...I have Cd's everywhere... and I mean "everywhere" !! Some of them are in some kind of order - but, unfortunately, there are more than a few which are just piled up on shelves !! With all of that in mind - I expected to take a few hours to actually find the Cd's.... BUT, much to my surprise, one of the first cases I picked up had 4 discs in it, with the letters "AN" written on them !! It really was a bit of luck.... I didn't expect it to be sooooo easy !!

Plus, another bonus.... I thought I had just recorded the soundtrack, in one long track - just ending on one disc & then starting over on the next one.... but, I must of taken a bit of time with them - as each section of the film has it's own chapter !! Why I didn't put the finished product actually onto the Egg, I honestly don't know !!

Mind you - that was done, at the end of May - so, there has been a lot of water under the bridge since then - it's no wonder I had forgotten about it !! Nevermind... I'll transfer it over, at some point soon & have fun listening to it.... either here, or in the car !!

As some of you will know - I enjoy putting my old tape cassettes onto Cd's...... it takes a bit of time, but it's all a bit of fun & it keeps me from going too insane !! Anyhoo - a while back, I did a 42 tape transfer, onto 56 discs..... and, just before that - I did a 4 tape transfer, onto 5 discs. I know - it really sounds like a crap idea - but, it's a bit of fun !! Right - having said all of that - my next project, is to transfer a 10 tape set - which i recorded when B was in hospital, having ME - way back when !! It - as I said a short while ago, will take a bit of time - but... it should be fun... listening to all of the old tracks, none of which will be less than 22 (almost 23) years old !!

I will let you know how it goes... and how things progress !! Ok - it's boring... but, unless some more Allman Brothers' Cd's reach me.... I'll have nothing "new" to listen to !!

The music of this very moment, is the Whitesnake live album.... 'Made In Britain'. I'm not 100% sure when it came out, tho' I know it was earlier this year. To be honest - it all sounds a little "dated" - not in a bad way... but, it could of been recorded 20 years ago & still sounded like it does now !! I see from the credits, it was recorded on the 2011 tour - so, it is a little "old" !! Listen to me - I play "old" stuff, day in & day out - so, I'm the last person to moan about stuff !! Onwards...... Oh - this is the 2 Cd set - disc 1 was recorded in Britain & disc 2 seems to have been recorded on the World tour. I'm not going to list all of the tracks - there are 25 of the things - but, needless to say, all (or most) of the hits are here.... so, if you're a Whitesnake fan, or a rock fan in general - check it out.... you might enjoy it !!

Onto more exciting things......

In the past, I've written about the NFH !! That is to say - the"Neighbour From Hell" !! Well, over the last month - give or take - they have been having their house extended - which is what I complained about before... that was some time ago... anyways...... Last night, much to our surprise, the police showed up & went to their place..... after they left, all hell seem to be breaking out.over there !!

Now then - this lady is a really "loud" person - you know... can't talk quiet, for love or money.... Well, whatever the police wanted, it seemed to cause a massive shock wave thru' their household !! Then - as a kind of follow up, to last nights police visit - they have been back again, a short while ago... and, once again, all heck has broken out over there !!

The Husband has gone "flying" out in his car....... and her (the NFH) Dad has just driven in.... so - what the hell is going on, next door, it seems to have been a bit of fun... for the rest of the Close, at least !! Time will tell, what is going on - and we are sure to find out all about it, at some point !!

As mentioned yesterday - I think - I landed up, back in hospital on Sunday night. Well - I have to go back again, tomorrow.... at about 2pm. This time, mainly as my right leg has gone numb on me !! Honestly - my party piece of the moment is sticking pins into my foot & not feeling a bloody thing... I kid you not !!

I'll see what the doctors say - but, I'm guessing my fall, the other night, has done some kind of nerve thingy... but, we'll see what happens !! I can't wait to see their faces, if they allow me to have a pin..... Sticking them into yourself is not the best thing in the World - but, it really is a bit weird !!

Ok - with weird on my mind... I best away !! It's abut 5.30 now & things are winding down for the evening.... As always, I thank you all for logging in - I thank you for your time.... until next time...
