Camp Bastion....... 'Nights In White Satin'

Greetings World's !!

A big "Hello" to my reader in France - or maybe readers ?! I hope you're all doing Ok.... it's a Sunday, here in England... I'm not sure what time or day it is with you - when ever you read these words.....

I was just watching some of the news - I see that Camp Bastion has been officially handed over to the Afghan troop..... I hope I've spelt all of that right ?! It's come at a huge price - not just the 400+ British soldiers, who were killed - but, also the many American troops, killed while on active service.....

I'm not going to forget the many... a very many... who were injured !! Support the troops, even if you never supported the "War" it'self...... There were many other troops killed, from around the World... I hope it was worth it !!

As I type - B is upstairs, making the bed... I think..... she said something, as she went by me, a short while ago..... I'm sorry, My Wife & Dearest Friend, I wasn't really listening !! Kick me next time - that will make me take notice !!

The music of the moment, is the fantastic Transatlantic's 'Kaleidoscope' album. "Funny" as it sounds now - thinking about it - the first track, that came out of the speakers, was their cover of 'Conquistador'... I say "funny"... as I was thinking about troops on the ground, in another country.... just like the Spanish Conquistadors - all of those years ago, in South America - and beyond, I guess, 'Nights In White Satin' is playing now.... a great cover version !!

In a short while, I have to go back to the hospital.... a bit of a bummer - but, it  can't be helped. Colin - my Vac-pump is playing up.... sooooo, he needs a little bit of TLC, to get him working again !! I don't mind - but, as he is, at the moment, he's keeping us both awake, at night.... that's not good !!

So - with that in mind - I will be on my ways.... 'Tin Soldier'.... one of my all time favourite singles, is now blasting out of the Bose...... another great cover - but, to me, not as good as the original Small Faces version... all those years ago !!
