Another Day In England...

Hi Worlds !!

It's another day in England....... and once more I'm writing from my hospital bed. It looks quite nice outside - bright sunlight is pouring thru' the windows.... shame I can't get out of here to enjoy it !!

At the moment I'm all trussed up... with wires & tubes connected to me, in one way or another !! It's kind of weird being stuck in here...... tho' after 5 weeks, I'm just about getting used to the routine of the place.

So - whats been happening to me, since last time I wrote..........

Well, yesterday... Sunday.... I had my 4th surgery & to be honest, the whole day pissed me off !! Not only did the operation last longer than I expected.... I was then put on a ward where - well, in a nut shell, it was crap !!

I've spent most of my time, over the last few weeks, trying to abide by really strict "keeping clean". So, when a nurse started on one of my dressings, with-out wearing gloves, I really got - as I wrote above - it pissed me off !! Even more so, when I complained & it was twisted around, that somehow, it was all my fault !!

I was told things that were not true, then...... well - it really did get to me. B was 'phoned, in the hope she could somehow talk me down - but...... in the end, I was allowed to go back to the ward, where I spent some time in December. It's really good here - I know most of the nursing staff, so that's pretty good.... much better than where I was put !!

I do not enjoy being lied to, lied at or lied about !! Never mind - that was yesterday.... it's another day - so I'll move on. Hopefully, I'll get to see my consultant at some point, today or tomorrow, and try & find out when I'll be going home. Even if he can't give me an exact date - maybe he'll be able to give some idea about when it might happen.... I'm getting "cabin fever" sitting here - no matter how "nice" everyone is !!

So - that's been my day.... I've not seen any of the family so far today. I think B will visit tonight, tho' I'm not 100% on that. She was coming in this afternoon, but didn't show up - never mind, life goes on !!

As for the music of the moment... well, as I type, I'm listening to 'The Lord Of The Rings' - the old version, that the BBC did years ago. It's kind of weird - it was good at the time.... but, the films are much better !!

I've been playing all sorts over the last 24 hours....... Well, I got to be honest, I've played loads of concert recordings - ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Iggy Pop..... and every thing in between !! A really wide set of stuff.... toooooooo many to mention really !! Oh well.........

A nurse has just undone one of my wires - so that's good..... only 2 more to get rid of !! It does mean I can get of bed for a while.... it'l be good to stretch my legs a bit !! I've been stuck here to long - my butt has gone to sleep !!

Right, for now, I will be on my ways..... I'm glad to be back on line & writing again !! I thank all of you who have stuck with me, even tho' I've not written very much lately !! Foe now tho' - I really must away.... until next time.......
