Asleep at the keyboard.....

Hi again Worlds....

....... I hope you are all doing really well, where ever you might be, in the Internet Universe !! I'm doing Ok - tho, as I type - I have a fantastic 9 inch fan, blasting away just to my right hand side..... it's brilliant really !!

But first the family.....

Well, as I tried to mention, yesterday, I spent a few hours at home !! After 6 weeks & 4 days in this place, it was really good - just to be away from the hospital, if only for a short while !! Because I was home - I got to see the whole family - pardon me, I forgot the cats !! Two of them were on walkabout, so I missed them... never mind.... I'll see plenty of them, when I actually get out of here for good !!

Back to today.....

B came in, about 9 ish & we were heading for home, shortly after. Now, usually, when we come home from the " city" - I prefer to go the long ways around. but, today, I wanted to see the fields & stuff - just a sort of drive, thru' the green stuff, that I have missed over the last 6+ weeks !! It was really nice to see everything.... kind of a bit of a re-fresher course, to remind me, there is a World, beyond these blooming walls !!

Anyhoo - I stayed at home, until nearly 6pm.... and it was fantastic. To sit outside, in the garden & just relax. Tho' we did have Murphy over with us, for a short while...... so, I guess there is a new definition of the word "relax".... oh well !!

But, to sit there, listening to bird song - it made the coming back to this place, just a little harder !! Talking of "harder"..... J still hates my guts - so, that kind of put a downer on the day !! I'm sorry my Son - there is only so much crap I can put up with.... so, the ball is in your court !! It is a big World out there - so, if things don't change.... and bloody soon.... well, I hope you enjoy your time at Uni - just don't expect me to put my name to next years paper work !!

ME was home as well - so, it was a great family experience, if you take into account the above !! Coming back here, well..... that was a bit of a bummer really. To explain....

There is one HCA - who works on our ward........ and, in a nut shell -she is "Queen Bitch" !! We had only been here, a few minutes and she pushed my wheelchair, right out of her way !! Honestly..... she talks to people like they are shit & - in a nut shell..... I've had enough of her tantrums !!

B would of moved the chair....if she had asked, but no - she just pushed it across the end of my bed, like it was just a piece of junk !! She can piss off, as well......... I'll make sure the powers that be, get to hear about it tomorrow - if I'm actually here, to explain...

Tomorrow, I go back into theater, for the 5th surgery of my stay !! Not too bad really - I come in for one & land up having 5 of the bloody things !! Now then, there are some people who would quite happily tie me down & open me up, with out the benefit of any drugs, to knock me out, or cut down on the pain...... but, 5 of the things, in less than 7 weeks, that's kind of taking the piss, just a little bit !! Oh well - I'll no doubt let you know, how it all goes !!

Oh yes.... I was going to explain......

I started a post last night.... but, for some reason, the computer let me down & I lost most of it !! Anyhoo - back to yesterday.....

I had to have my dressings changed - so I asked the lady who does it, to take a picture of my back - mainly as, for me and the fact I had never seen it !! It's kind of hard - with a big gash in your back, to twist your head around and get a good look.......

Anyways - I was not prepared for the whole thing !! I know my Consultant has been on the case - but, to say, as he does, that it's not a big thing..... well, Boss., it looked bloody big to me !! I could see right down to my spinal column - thru' the muscle layer, back up to my skin....... which is a red mess !! Every time they put a new dressing on the things, they have to take the old one off - with basically a layer of my skin with it !! It's a real mess of a thing..... but, I'm glad I got to see it..... it's given me a whole new perspective on the thing & why it hurts so much !! Never mind - I'll see what they do tomorrow & take it from there I guess !!

I've just spoken to B & told her my decision on J's Uni stuff...... I don't think she was too happy with what I told her !! Never mind - my life will go on - so " damn the torpedoes" and have down with it !!

Before I go - I've not played too much today, being as I was on "home leave" or whatever it's called..... but at the moment, I'm on track 12 of the Allman Brothers  playlist - that I have mentioned before. It's 145 tracks long - so, I won't get too far into it, before I nod off.....but, at the moment, 'Kind Of Bird' is blasting away thru' the headphones..... one of their many - and brilliant - instrumental
tracks !! Great guitar work & fantastic interplay, between all band !!

I had  a great e-mail from Lady V - which, if I read it right - says the 4 Cd set will be with me, quite soon. As long as it's here, by the time I get home - whenever that might be - I will be a happy camper !! My friend, in South America, says he already has a copy - good for him........ at least I'll be supporting the band & paying for my copy !! Never mind...... when I get my copy, I will no doubt burn a hole thru' the thing - it's going to get a lot of plays, over the coming months !!

I must away for now - it's getting to the point, where I'm starting to fall asleep at the wheel - or however the term goes !! Oh well...... I thank you all for loggong in & taking the time to read my words..... until next time.....
