Goodbye to Church services.... It's a shame, it really is !!

Hi again everybody !!

It's a very hot & humid Monday evening, here in England - I think it's about 8pm...... tho' I'm not too sure about that, as I can't see the clock !! Nevermind..... I hope you're all well & happy.... here, it's kind of a sad time.

One of the guys, who was in my little ward, has taken a turn for the worse & is now surrounded by his family, in one of the side rooms. He is 92 years old & I don't think there is a great lot of hope, that he will survive the night. Well - there is always hope.......... but you know what I mean....

But first, the family.....

Yesterday was my birthday - "A happy birthday to me"........ Much to my surprise, the whole family came in to see me !! Yep - that's right, I said "the whole family"...... B, ME & boyfriend M + J.... his first visit since I came here, 6 weeks ago today !!

Oh - I forget - some of you won't know where I actually am !!

For the last 6 weeks, I have been stuck in hospital. I came in, on May 27 & I've been here ever since !! I was expecting one surgery, which happened on the 28th.... since then, I have had to 3 more trips to the operating theater....... and I'm due to have another one, this coming Friday - ain't life grand !!

So - that's where I've been....... and, apart from being opened up a few times...... life is pretty good !! I could moan about how things have gone wrong (hence the 3 extra surgeries) - but.... well, as I just said to my next door neighbour - "Shit Happens !! Oh well - Life is good !!

Oh I also forgot...... I found out, today, that there is a 4 Cd "Super Edition" of The Allman Brothers 'Brothers & Sisters' album !! Not only does it contain the original album - but there is a Cd of out-takes & "Jams" - sort of stuff they did, during the making of the album....... plus, and this was the bait that drew me in, a complete version of the bands Witerland show, from 1973 !!

I remember listening to a very badly edited version of this show, when it was broadcast on the old Alan Freeman Saturday show, way back when. It was good - but, to get the whole concert...... that's a big "Wow" moment, for me at least !!

I've ordered it, direct from the Allman's web site - I think it will work out cheaper in the long run.... even including the postage & packing charges. I'll see how it pans out, when it clears the bank & what have you !!

Just changing the subject.....

I e-mailed the Bishop today, informing him that I wouldn't be attending services in the future. That might seem a very drastic move, for a Latter Day Saint - but, I really am pissed off with The Church, at the moment !!

I'm not going to go over the whole story..... but, I feel very much abandoned by The Church, at the moment. As mentioned above, I've been stuck here, for 6 weeks & no one has contacted me, visited me or in any other way tried to see if I needed any help, in any shape or form !! It stinks really......

Anyhoo - I will remain a Mormon, in the way I live & do things....but, to save the faces of the other Church members, I will stay away from services !! It's the old story really - guilty, until found innocent !! Maybe, one day, I will fill in the blanks, & explain, what I mean by that - but not yet !!

Moving on....... well, not really.... I'm out of news for tonight.

Oh - I forgot the music of the moment !! Well, it's not exactly music - just a drama, that the BBC did of Isaac Asimov's  'Foundation' books. I've listened to them over & over - but, I wanted a break, from music & just take things "easy" for a while !!

Anyways - I best away's..... I have to check my e-mails & sort myself out to get ready for bed - always a lot of fun, given the state of my back & spine !! Oh well......
