Ok - I thinks it's a Tuesday... yep, just checked the thingy on the wall & it agrees..... so "Happy Tuesday" to you, where ever you may be. And a special "Hello" to my reader(s) from China - nice to see you've found me !! Keep looking... it might get interesting, you never know !!
Right, I'm sat here in our living (rec) room & I'm surrounded by Cd's !! I thought it would be a good idea to get back into sorting them out A-Z sort of thing - it seemed like a good idea at the time, I'm not so sure now - the Cd's seem to have a mind of their own & are taking over the whole floor !! Help - the Cd's are taking over !!
So - anyhooooooo... life goes on. The music of the moment is (again) the Allman Brothers Band - mainly as it's a long concert & I couldn't be bothered to keep changing the discs...... tho' - since I started sorting out, I have found a few Cd's I had forgotten about & I might put one of them in to play shortly.
So, that's the music - as for the family...... B is out to lunch with a lady from Church, ME is at her Uni placement (I think ?) & J is upstairs in his 'hobbit hole' - which doubles up as a bedroom, when he goes to sleep !! I was down here at about 2am this morning & he was still awake !! Not too worry, he helped me with my meds - so it saved having to wake B up - tho' I got a telling off when she did wake up, never mind !!
The Allman Brothers are just just coming to an end - so the music of the moment will be Queensryche's 'The Art Of Live'. It's the soundtrack to one of their DVDs & is pretty good really. It was this DVD that got me interested in Dream Theater - they all get together for the encores..... Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' & The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again'. Strange how things happen - I bought the DVD for Queensryche & found a whole 'new' band !!
I was thinking about what I wrote on Sunday - about the kids at Church. Was I being too harsh ? Maybe - but it is a pain in the butt when we're trying to hear the speakers & we can't because the 'kids' don't keep quiet !! B was talking about it with me & we're of the same mind - the parents (who should lead by example) should step in to tell them to be quiet.... even if it means putting their mobile phones down for a second !! The eldest is nearly 12 - so he's a little bit older than a 'kid' really !! Sorry, it's just me being mean I guess......... I'll take some sleeping pills with me next time I go - that will shut them up !!
The weather here is bright, but raining with it..... very hot tho' !! It's bound to rain this weekend - it's Glastonbury Festival time again - well, Pilton Festival, as we locals like to call it !! I think U2 are playing Friday night, so hopefully the BBC will show some of that - apart from that, I don't know of anybody else of interest to me. I'll check the web site at some point & maybe listen to a few of the other performers. I'm getting old & most of the people I want to see are either dead or 'retired' - shame really. It's only 11 days to the Greg Allman concert..... am I looking forward to it ? YESSSSSSSSSS !!!!! We're all set to go - just got to try & keep healthy for the trip !!
Oh well - I better get back to these Cd's...... I'm kind of hoping to have them sorted before B gets home !!
Bye Bye
