So, it's Monday again - the last Monday of the month.... which means in 5 days B & I will be heading north, to Birmingham, to see & hear Greg Allman - Yipppeeeeee !! We're both getting pretty excited about it - not just the concert, but the fact that we're going away... all be it only for one night. I wish we could get 'away' more often, but...... it just isn't going to happen, so we are just grateful for this chance !!
Talking of my Dearest Friend & Wife - ME & her have gone out to the gym, for a couple of hours of 'torture' ..... it's very hot here at the moment & I'm surprised they went !! Never mind, whatever keeps them happy + I know they enjoy themselves, so........
As for the other member of the family - our son J - well, he's upstairs in his room..... once again on his computer, talking to his friends via the 'net'. While the girls are away, he keeps an eye on me, making sure I don't do anything off the wall - not that I'm thinking of doing anything too exciting tonight !! Just writing these few words & then off to bed for (I hope) a good nights sleep........ it's not been a very good few days since my last post - which I think was last Friday (?).....
For some reason - I'm not sure why - I went downhill on Saturday & kind of slept thru' Sunday..... sort of coming out of it early this morning !! Crazy really, as I really do not understand why !! So what's new ? Welcome to my life !!
Last time, I was going to see 2 nurses (Friday) & I really wasn't looking forward to it. Anyways - the first visit went off Ok... she was quite pleased with me & how I am, or was at the time. The second visit didn't go very well - in fact, it didn't go at all... the lady failed to show, due to a broken down car !! So, I sat here for a couple of hours, until she phoned to say she wasn't coming... never mind, things happen & it's not her fault. I just wish she had called earlier so B & I could of done something rather than just sitting here !! I'll see her sometime next week I guess, or later this week.... we'll see how things go. I'm not 100% sure what B sorted out......
The problem with being poorly, we missed Church again !! Not good - we've missed quite a few Sunday's recently & I wish I could be 'better' & not have to stay at home.... we won't be going this coming Sunday, but - all being well - I'll be able to go the Sunday after that. We'll see how things work out !! We just feel 'bad' about not going - but........ there is not a lot I can do about it !! As the old phrase goes "You can't help sickness" !!
The music of the moment is Gov't Mule's 'Deepest End' DVD soundtrack - on Cd..... I really like the third disc !! The cover's they do are great....'Voodoo Chile' standing very high on my list of things to listen to !! If you get a chance, check it out......
Earlier I was playing The Beatles '1962/1966' & '1967/1970' Cd sets.... I'm not a great Beatles fan - but, it was fun to hear the old singles again. Tho' I do not understand why the first album is split over 2 Cd's - it's only an hour long... but I guess it came out as a 2 Lp set & they want to keep the same king of format on the Cd's + it makes them more money !! I still prefer the 'White' album - it beats the socks off the early 45's......
I'm still working my way thru' the Cd's - putting them on the shelves in the 'right' order. I'm up to G (I think) & it's working ot pretty well..... I seem to have gained more space from some place, not sure how - the Cds came off the same unit, so why I've got more room I'm not sure... but, it works for me.... the more space the better !!
Tomorrow I'm hoping to finish the last of the painting (all but the overhead stuff) - so that'll give me some time to listen to more music & when it's done, more time to sort out the sort the rest of the Cd's out !! I really need to get on with it - at the moment, the Cds are in a worse mess than before I started..... but, it will all come together in the end !!
Oh yes -B bought me a new book today, bless her...... it's from the BBC's 'Last Chance To See' TV programme & was on sale. Down from £20, to £1.99 !! Bargain I say...... I guess they couldn't sell them, to make that sort of reduction - not that I'm complaing about it !! It looks like a good read..... must away !
