So anyways - all afternoon, I've been playing Zep's 4-8-79 show from Knebworth.... it's one of my favourites, mainly as I was there !! The reason for playing it all the ways thru' - well, simply as the bedroom furniture came today & I wanted something to listen to while sorting it all out....... it's been fun & somewhat exhausting - but, fun all the same !!
So - today, we've had a new mattress for our bed, a new bed for ME & some furniture for J's room..... he had a new bed a week or 2 back, so the stuff that came today will finish his room off pretty much. Not bad really, 2 rooms painted & furnished out all inside of a month - heck, at this rate, I could do the whole house over by the end of... end of.... end of - well, maybe one day !! Not today tho'........
The music of the moment is Seasick Steve's "You Can't An Old Dog New Tricks' (ain't that for sure !).... it's his latest Cd & the bit I've heard so far is pretty good. He reminds me - when he is playing solo, of John Lee Hooker..... playing his guitar & stomping his foot along to keep the beat !! That's just me tho'....
So, that's the music of the moment - as for the family.... J is upstairs, probably worried in case I start on the rest of his furniture - I've still got to put some things together, but that'll be tomorrow - as for the ladies of the house.... well, they are meeting in town at 5pm to check out the YMCA's gym. ME has got it into her head she wants to try & work out & B is meeting her there to see what it's like & lend some support !!
It's my fault - always blame the husband, it works every time - anyhooooo, I bought a new set of bathroom scales & ME is worried she is over weight !! Crazy I call it, but..... if she wants to go to a gym, that's up to her !! I really bought them for me - I was dropping too much weight & I need to keep an eye on it. it's a sign that I'm getting poorly (again) & I wanted to be safe rather than sorry !!
Talking of poorly - I've still not heard from the hospital about the implant !! I really hope it'll come thru' soon - I was hoping sometime within the next month....... yep, it's a month today & we go & see Greg Allman in concert !! I was thinking of doing like a countdown thingy - you know.... it's only so many days & we go etc etc..... but, I couldn't be bothered !! Needless to say, I'll get more & more excited as the date get's nearer !!
I would really like the surgery before we go tho' - it would be great to get it over with !! We'll see......
I'm still puzzled by this keyboard of mine..... I press '&' and '&:' or something comes up on the screen.... sorry about that readers, who ever you are out there in "Internet land".
This Cd is really good..... have to get B to play it in the car !! As I don't drive anymore, i have to give way a little on what we listen to - but, this would be good !! I've just read the cover notes & John Paul Jones is featured on some of it... no wonder I like it !! Not sure what to play next - yes I do.... Brian May's 'Brixton Academy' Cd - so that's the music of the moment !! Life goes on & so must I......
