I'm sat here listening to the 'new' Neil Young album - I don't know quite what to make of it...... it's from his "Country & Western phase". So unless you're a die hard NY fan, or a lover of Country & Western - well, I would leave it well alone !! To be fair, this is the first time I've heard it - so it might grow on me.... not in too much of a hurry I guess..... oh well......
Anyhooooo - it's a Thursday, just into the afternoon - and yours truly is sat here typing these words. J is upstairs keeping an eye on me, ME is at Uni placement (only one more day to go) & B is out walking the neighbours dog..... well, last time I saw them, I think the dog was taking B for a walk.... but, it looked like fun !!
My plan for today is to watch a little bit of TV over the lunch time & then try & do some painting..... yep, I still haven't finished, probably go into next week before I complete the whole thing. The biggest problem, (for me) with the gloss paint, is how long it takes to dry !! If it needs a second coat - well..... there ain't enough hours in the day !! Never mind - I'll get going in a while.......
The music of the moment is now Molly Hatchet's 'Flirtin' With Disaster - Live'.... Neil Young wasn't too good, but this rocks along quite nicely. If you see this album anywhere, check out 'Rainbow Bridge' - it's a great track & goes into an "old fashion" guitar solo.... not many official albums do that anymore... well, the ones I listen too at least !!
I have another 'live' album of theirs here someplace..... it's on tape, Lp & Cd - it's one of my favourites, hence all the versions !! They do (on the older album) Skynyrd's 'Free Bird' & the Allman's 'Dreams' - they do both tracks very well... or at least I think so !!
Anyways - not much else to report here in England today.... but, if you see these words & they don't make much sense (spelling & whatever) - well, sorry about that !! Just enjoy & read on - it's nice to know you're out there !!
Bye Bye
