Ok - something really weird - more weird than normal in this life of mine - sort of 'spooky weird'. I was having a bit of a bad time earlier, nothing too bad - just a bit of pain...... anyways, I decided to dig out some old Cds - things that were sent to me a few months back & I've never really done much with.
So - I'm playing this Led Zeppelin show & I've been playing it as I type... well, I've just realised it's from yesterday, June 7th, but in 1977 !! I hadn't thought too much about it until a few minutes ago - but thru' no plan of mine, this Cd has been playing & it's like the anniversary of the show !! That is really strange - I sometimes play old concerts when I know the date, but..... this has just happened !! Mad World !! Never mind - life goes on...... I just find it a bit weird/strange that's all.
Ok, it's a Wednesday & it's been a quiet day for me - been having a bit of a catch up day & a bit of a rest up, before getting back into the painting thing again. I've been feeling a little down in the dumps & the pain is not helping one little bit - but, thanks to the wonders of modern medicine (also known as morphine) the pain is gradually going away, so life is getting back to 'good' again !!
Right, as mentioned, the music of the moment is Zeppelin's New York show from June 1977 & very good it is as well...... it's not the first time I've played it, but it has been sitting on a shelf for quite a while !! 'Kashmir' is playing as I type - which I remember was the name of a nurse I met in 1973, while on vacation in Bradford's Royal Infirmary for 3 weeks !! Now, that's a random memory to spring up ?! Oh well........
As for the family, ME & J are upstairs and my Dearest Friend & Wife B, is out at 'keep fit' - it's held in the village school, which for those who have not been here, is just a few hundred yards across the way. She went cycling today with a lady who lives just outside the village & who we know thru' Church. One thing is for sure, B is getting way into this weight loss/fitness - good for her I say, tho' I don't want her to over do things !!
Also on the family subject - we had a letter from my Brother today, which was kind of strange. The last time he wrote to me, he told me exactly where I could go and now he's written like we're long lost - well, Brothers !! Mind you, since his last e-mail to me (about 3 years ago) his Wife has passed away & his life has changed quite a lot - so maybe he's having a change of heart..... or he needs something (usually money) & has decided he ought to say "hello" again !! Time will tell......... I might keep you posted. I'll see.......
I haven't been outside today, but it's been really cold here in the house - soooooooo cold that I clicked the heating on for a while earlier !! June & I've got the heating on, crazy or what !! We are going to have a monster gas bill this time around & I'm going to struggle to pay it (who isn't ?) - but, got to keep warm !!
On Friday night, B & I are going into town, to the arts centre to see Otway & Barrett - the last time we saw them was about, I'm guessing 3 years back, at the same place & it was great fun. B - who knew little by them - really went & had a great time, lots of fun !! Hopefully, Friday night will be as good & this bl***y pain I've got, will go away by then !!
Then, in about 4 weeks, we're off to see Mr Allman in concert !! We're all booked up - tickets for the show, tickets for the bus & reservations booked at the hotel....... now, all I have to do is pay for it !! No big deal...... after all, it's only money !!!
The 'down' side to the concert & there is a down side.... that is our friend Lady V won't be coming over from the USA for the tour. It would of been great to have met up, but I heard from her yesterday that they won't be making the trip - so that's a bummer !! It's still on my 'bucket list' to go back to America one more time - so, if I'm 'allowed' that trip - we'll take in Georgia on our travels & say "hello" then !!
So, New England, Utah & Georgia + a train ride.... well, I guess that'll be all of my bucket emptied by then - we'll see - life has a way of sorting itself out & I hope to be here when it does !! Life goes on readers & so must I - it's 8pm & nearly time for bed !!
