Bermuda !!

Hi Everybody In Internet Land - How are your Worlds turning ?

Well - last night was fun - I stood up, I fell down..... I've been here sooooo many times before - I'm used to the falls & stuff - but, it really hurts when the floor comes rushing up to meet you like that !!  Nnever mind - no real damage done - just a few new bruises to deal with this morning !!

Ok - it's a Wednesday evening here in England & Roky Erickson has just blasted 'It's A Cold Night For Aligators' thru' the speakers &, I agree !!  B has just gone out to the gym & as I stood on the doorstep - it was freezing.... well, maybe not that cold - but, you get the idea !!

So, B is out - as is our daughter ME... who I think is having supper at her boyfriends house, on her way home from Uni placement.  I'm not sure what time she will be home, but sometime tonight I guess.  J, our Son, is upstairs at the moment.... so, that just leaves me typing these words to you !!

As already mentioned, Roky Erickson is in the Cd tray... it's a collection of his stuff, 'thru' the years' called 'I Have Always Been Here Before'.  The highlight for me being 'Bermuda' - which I had as a single - when they were called 45's !!  I made quite a bit of money out of that one, when I sold it many moon ago !!

I only bought it really, as my ex-wife was from Bermuda & it sort of went with the feel of things back then - before I found exactly what a real wife was like !!  Oh well - I mustn't moan - I went into the marriage with both eyes open & for a while it was fun.... We had several trips back to Bermuda, a Son & then a divorce !!  Life went on... B has been my Savior.... she has kept me alive, kept me going where I had no right to go !!  Life has gone on - & 23 years later, well.....  as I've said recently to a friend, she is my Saint Peter, my rock.

Right - today has been spent going thru' all the Cd's that had built up in front of me... putting things together & sorting labels & stuff for them !!  I've been at it for most of the day & I'm still in a muddle here - I can't find things I know I have & found things I had forgotten about !!  Oh well - it's a way to get thru' a day I guess.......

Last evening, on TV, there was a programme called 'Young Nuns' - it was brilliant, fascinating... a joy to watch !!  It featured two girls, one of who joined a group of Nuns - but came home after a while & the other, who wanted to join a group, but... well, she was turned down.  It was a brilliant bit of television !!

They also featured a group of Nuns living in Leeds - all of who seemed to be full of fun, joy & a love of our Lord.  To see four of them in a battered Ford escort was lovely - it was... well, wonderful television !!

B & I watched it together, this after noon & we're hoping it will have a 'catch up' programme - to see how things turned out.  It would be interesting to see how things progressed.

As we watch it, we discussed the chances of the two of us going on a Mission at some point.  we're Latter Day Saints & I think we agreed it was something we would consider at some point.  Of course, with my health, it's very unlikely - but...... now the 'kids' have grown up & (maybe) one day, will "fly the nest" - well, anything is possible !!

We laughed really - we meet all these wonderful Saints from around the World - who go on Missions &, as B said, we would probably end up in Yorkshire someplace - instead of miles away in a different country !!  Never mind - it's something to consider as we get older & who knows, it might happen !!  Life will go on & our Lord & our Faith in Him & His teaching, will guide us.........

There was also a programme on about a group of scientists who wanted to re-create a 'mummy' - as in ancient Egypt & what have you.  They advertised for a willing 'body donor' & over a period of several months, tried & (kind of) succeeded in what they had set out to do.... It was a little strange at times, but - the donor was willing & so were his family, so....

For me, the best bit - well, there were two really.  The first was when his Wife came to say 'goodbye' to her Husband.  he was laid out, all wrapped up in bandages & her face was a gem !!  The second point, I felt happy for the lead scientist - was, in what he had done - altho' very strange, he had proved his theories were correct & a great deal of what had been written was 'wrong'... the various people who called him all the strangest names under the sun, were wrong !!  To see his face, well - he was well satisfied !!

We watch some very weird programmes, I can tell you !!  I also play some very weird music & currently - as I type - Whyzdom have replaced Roky Erickson & are bopping along quite nicely thank you !!

Tomorrow, if all goes well - B is going into town & I'll get her to post off a package I have done for a friend.  It's like the package we posted a day or two back, just some Cd's & stuff I no longer want.  They should be of used to him !!  I hope so anyways..... it will be a waste of postage otherwise !!  I'm just clearing things out.

My plans for tonight - well, I don't really have any !!  As usual !!  It depends on how I feel I guess - they're is a new BBC thing on called 'Frozen Planet' - so, that might be worth a watch & maybe, a recording, to watch later, when I'm more with it !!  I'll see......

.... that's about it really.  Another quiet night in, with the Cd's blasting away - keeping the village awake !!  Great stuff.... until next time, thanks for reading...

Bye Bye
