It's another Friday & it's been a pickle of a day weather wise - rain, sunshine... sometimes cold, sometimes warm, oh well - I've been in the house all day.... so, for me, the weather hasn't been a problem.
For once, all the family are here in the house. B was going to the gym, but her class was called off.... so, she has had an early bath & is now watching a programme on TV (along with ME) about organ transplants.... a bit gory, but interesting all the same. J is upstairs, someplace - probably in his Hobbit hole on his computer.
Yesterday, in the morning, I had two Doctor's to see...... the outcome was.... well, I have another pill to take at night !! I started last night, along with a 'new' plan on when to take my various other pills & low & behold, I had a really good night.... sure, I didn't sleep all the ways thru' - but, I did have a good night all the same, so that's a bonus !! This morning, I felt really out of it, complete with a headache.... but, it was a small price to pay !! Hopefully, it'll continue to work - time to tell I guess....... here's hoping !! Another pill... oh well, it's a life !!
As for music... it's been a fun day. I actually finished the 'Woodstock' transfer Yippeeeee !! So, after many years of thinking about it - I've actually put the complete soundtrack onto Cd...... I'll look forward to playing that back !! Yep, I know I could just play the DVD's - but..... I prefer Cd's & listening to them..... more so than listening to DVD's. That's just the way I am, it's one of my many little vices !!
Watching the DVD's, as I recorded them... well, I saw things I hadn't noticed or enjoyed before. Up until now, I've played very little attention to the Sly Stone bit (of the film) - but, today.... well - I really liked it. It's a shame I don't like the complete set so much !! I've got the Cd's of their performance here, in front of me as I type...... I've just never really liked it that much..... oh well.
I find that a lot, as do many others I guess.... I have a Cd for years & 'suddenly' something new jumps out at me. I still find the 'Woodstock' film - even after 40 years (since it came out & I first saw it) well, it's one of the best music films, there has ever been !! I can watch it over & over......
I didn't post last night.... we had a couple of people here for the evening, doing home teaching, about the Church's 'message' this month. It was nice to have the guys here again, even if I had to say a "sorry" for the way I looked..... I've not had a shave for a couple of days - just being lazy, I guess...... but, they took me, the way I am & the evening was good. It meant I didn't go to bed too early, but that wasn't a problem..... I needed to 'road test' my new pill's & that was a good way to do it !! It's not often that I'm up too late !!
I had hoped to have had some kind of information about my surgery - the one that was cancelled last week.... but, nothing came today. Maybe next week...... interestingly, the Consultant I saw yesterday morning is also going to write to the Consultant, who is doing the surgery, to try & get him to have me as soon as possible. The guy will be getting fed up of me & all my various Dr's writing to him !! There again, if it works - I'm not going to moan toooooooo much !!
One thing B did for me today, was to help me fill in the 'back to work' form I had a few days ago...... there were pages & pages of the thing - asking the same questions over & over, but from different directions (if that makes any sense !).... why not just ask one 'big' question, refer to my various Dr's, & have done with it !!
Oh well - it'll all work out in the end, one way or another..... who knows - maybe they will send me back to work !! Now, that could be fun - I'm not sure for who..... but, fun anyways !!
If all goes well this weekend, I'll have another 'new' Led Zeppelin bootleg..... I hope it'll be here soon, I looking forward to hearing it thru' !! Plus, this weekned or Monday, I should have the new Peter Gabriel Cd - it's due out next week, but - if I'm lucky - it will get here tomorrow !! That's all to look forward to - but, tonight.... well, I'm away.... until next time.
