Well, this is part 2 of today's posting.... I didn't really plan it this way, but what the heck !! I'm here, the computer was going to be on anyhooo, so here I am again !! Besides, what else am I going to do this evening ? Exactly, not much at all......
J is the only member of the family home tonight. ME has gone with her boyfriend to see the 3D version of 'The Lion King'... B has been home, but has gone back out to weight-watchers & then onto the gym... leaving me home, typing words & listening to Black Sabbath !! It's their 'Live At Reading' Cd - not 100% sure when it was recorded, but it was when Ian Gillan was singing with them... the Cd sleeve says it was August 27th 1983, so that's about right I guess. I remember it being on the radio, but I'm not sure if that was 'live' or broadcast later. Never mind........
Anyhoooo, it's been a quiet day. I didn't go back to bed in the end. I sat down & started to read a book, then B came home. So - I stayed with her until she went back out. Her meeting with her cousin didn't go too well. B seemed a little upset when she came home..... that's family for you !! I always feel better off without mine - not B & the kids.... just my own personal family. That might sound dumb, maybe harsh, but that's the way I feel & there ain't much going to change that !!
I'm back reading 'The Dig Tree'... it's kind of got a hold on me. I've read it 2 or 3 times now & I still find it a brilliant read !! If & it's a BIG if, I ever went to Australia..... which is very unlikely... I would love to go to some of the places mentioned - maybe, even, to see the Dig Tree itself !! Now, that would be a trip of a lifetime & that's for sure. It will never happen now - but, it would be something to put on my 'bucket list'. We can all dream I guess !!
I see my blog flashed up on Yahoo again !! That really does seem very weird - to read my own words, via a completely different web site.... maybe that's how people around the World are getting to this ?! Oh well, my thanks to all of you. From America - to Russia & beyond... I thank you for reading !!
As for my plans tonight... I don't really have any !! As I'm going to be here - on my own - for a while, I'll probably just play music, or see what is on TV. Which reminds me......
.... I'm not the Worlds biggest Star Trek fan, but there was an episode of 'The Next Generation' on lunchtime that (hand on heart) I had never seen before !! How bad is that ?!! As soon as it started, I knew I had never seen it before. Life has got to the point, where a 'new' Star Trek gets me excited !! So bad, it's almost sad !!
I am not a big TV fan - I prefer video/DVD stuff... but, tonight, there is a music programme on featuring Peter Gabriel..... as I've just got a copy of his latest Cd, well - that could be worth a watch !! Next week, there is a radio concert on, by him... so, I'll try & remember to give that a listen !! I have all this music around me & I still want to listen to a radio concert.... I'm mad, I tell you !!
This Cd is coming to an end - with maybe the best encore a band could ever put together. 'Smoke On The Water' & 'Paranoid'.... must be a bit of Ok if you want my opinion !! The thing is, what to play next ? I'll have a little think...... not sure at the moment.
Tomorrow, we have to go into town & I'm not looking forward to that...... too many people & not enough of me to go around !! I hate crowds & as I get older, the worse I feel about them or, for that matter, going out !! But, the less I go out, the worse it gets - if that makes any sense at all ?!
We have to go tho' - we're going to need some shopping & I know B prefers me to be with her when we do that sort of stuff + it gives us a bit of time together, so that's Ok by me. Please, don't get me wrong - I don't mind her going out & leaving me here... I'm pleased she has an interest outside of the home & family.... sometimes tho' it's good to have some time together !!
The music of the moment is now Molly Hatchet's 'Flirtin' With Disaster - Live'... that make a bit of a change from the really hard rock of Black Sabbath. The Molly's are one of those bands that just have a small place in my head. Their 'live' album 'Double Trouble Live' has not only a place in my head, but in my heart as well - check them out, they are well worth a listen !! They do a great cover of 'Free Bird' + on this album, 'Dreams'.... it rocks along quite nicely thank you !! Oh well, enough of music.....
It's heading towards 7pm & I must think about getting things together for bedtime. So, with the Molly's version of 'Layla' playing loudly in the background, I will away... until next time...
Bye Bye
