I hope you are all doing good !! I've been missing for a few days - I think it was Friday, when I last posted....oops !! I didn't mean it that way - I was hoping to write yesterday - but.... time, music & health got the better of me. Not so much in that order -but.... I'm back now, so lets move on !!
Ok - it's now Tuesday morning.... B has just gone out to a gym class, ME might be home in a short while (from Uni placement) - tho' I'm not sure about that..... J is upstairs - so that leaves me typing these words to you, my readers around the World !!
Going back a few days - to Saturday - B took me down to Exeter. There was a record fair on & I had a few things to give to my friend, while we were there. To see his face, when I gave him a Gov't Mule set - from a concert he actually went to.... in 20 years, I don't think I have ever seen him, so surprised & happy !!
He told me a few weeks back, that he had been to the Mule show, so.... I made his day !!
I was also happy, as I came home with an Allman's concert from London in 1991. It was broadcast on the radio, at the time & I only really had a copy of the first part..... it was put out over two weeks, & I messed up the second part !! So, I got hold of that concert & met up with another friend & bought some empty cases from him. All in all, a good fair - I spent next to nothing & came away with things I wanted !! Great stuff !!
The rest of the trip was for B to go around & pick up some things for her birthday, the other week.... I think I bought her some earrings & some chocolate.... can't really remember !! Never mind, we had a good, but tiring sort of day !!
Before we left home, I was pleased that the Peter Gabriel DVD came in the post - a few days earlier than it's official release date..... I've played it to death over the last couple of days !! Yesterday, well.... I spent hours sorting out the sound track - transferring it over to Cd.... for my own use, here at home.
After several attempts, I got it right & it's now playing as I type these words !! In the end, I moved it onto two Cd's... a sort of part one & two of the concert - only 'spoilt' by the gap as the DVD reset !! Not to worry, I'll enjoy playing it.... as I type 'Biko' is blasting it's way out of the speakers !! Well good !!
Sunday - well.... it wasn't so good. I was sick & took my frustration out on the family. How B & the kids put up with me, I will never understand. But, no matter what a complete jerk I am - B is always there for me. My Wife & Dearest Friend...... I love her sooooo very much...........
The really sad news on Sunday, was the death of Marco Simoncelli in the Moto GP race. He was a true star, one of the biggest characters in bike racing...... I usually record the races, to watch the following day - being poorly however, I didn't set anything up. Knowing now, that Marco was killed 'live on air' as it was broadcast - well, I'm glad I missed it. I've seen film of the crash - it was horrendous, we'll miss him......
It's amazing to me, how two days can be so different.... Saturday was brilliant & Sunday..... well.........
Due to my health, we again missed Church on Sunday. I simply could not go.... I was physically & mentally sick - I could not of gone. It's becoming harder to go anywhere now. We knew it would get worse, but.... I didn't expect things to go quite like they have !! Never mind - I'm sure, infact I know, there are people worse off.... so, I should stop moaning !!
I did go out this morning.... J had to go into town for a job thing - so we drove him in. While we were there, I put some money in the bank & found some ink for my printer...... as well as a quick trip into ASDA to pick up some food !! We needed shopping, so it all worked out pretty well, in the end.... tho' I feel completely tired out now !! I might go up to bed in a while - just to have a rest.......
I do have some things to do, but.... that will be later. I'll write some more later on, until then......
