I hope you're all doing well - the sun is warm & your seas are a nice shade of pink...... I mean blue !! I've been listening to far toooooo much "Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy"... 13 Cd's of the thing, to be honest, is a little too much for anybody - but, I enjoyed listening to it all & it was the only time I've heard the whole thing in one complete go. Never mind....
It's a Friday evening & I'm here, home with J. He is just doing some dishes, from supper.... ME has yet to get home, but I think she is going to her boyfriends on the way back from Uni placement, so she will home later on. As for B - yesterdays "Birthday Girl"... she has gone out to a gym class tonight & will be home about 7.30 to 8pm.
As for me, well.... last night was a bit of a let down.... I was down here watching DVD's at 2 am. Once again, this new tablet regime is failing to work !! Anyhow, I had to see my local Dr this morning & B told him what was happening.... so, from tonight, I'm back to the way things were...but, still with the newest pill at 10pm.
I'm seeing the Consultant again soon, so we can tell her then what we've done to her idea.... but, we gave it a try - it just didn't work tooooo well, for me at least !! Hopefully, tonight, I'll sleep better.... we'll see how things go !! As it was, I went back to bed this morning & slept like a log for 3hours or so, so I did get a bit of a rest in the end !!
As mentioned, yesterday was B's birthday.... I think she had a good time. Luckily a book I ordered for her came on the exact day - so that was a bonus !! Also, a bonus - her Dad actually remembered as well... that was a surprise !! So, with various gifts in hand - we went off to town & did a little bit of shopping. She had a gift voucher to use & it was going to be hard for B to use it in the shop it was from, so I've 'bought' it from her. She will have something she wants & much to my surprise - I came home with the big Atlas I wrote about a day or two back.
It's brilliant & more than I could wish for.... but, B will get something she wants from another shop, so... it works out well for both of us really !! If it wasn't for the Atlas, I don't really know what we would of used the voucher for - it's not really a 'birthday' type of shop.... if that makes any sense !! In the end, we'll both got something out it - I get an Atlas & B will get the cash to use where ever she wants !! Great stuff.......
We finished the night off with B having a nice birthday cake... mostly chocolate.... so, she'll working a little extra in the gym for a day or two I guess !! We had a good day & I've promised her a better day at the shops, when we go to the next fair, next weekend !! Subject to change of course, if I land up back in hospital !!
My Dr, this morning, said he phoned the Consultant, who was sick the other week.... anyhooooo things will move along & I'll get the implant sooner, rather than later. We'll see how things go...... it'll be good, to get it out the ways !!
Right..... the music of the moment is Black Sabbath's 'Sweet Leaf'..... this time by Gov't Mule. It's well good & it's on 'The Deepest End' DVD set. The copy I'm playing, is on the Cd's I ran off.... as I keep saying, I prefer the idea of listening to Cd's, much more than watching & listening to DVD's !!
Yesterday, J got me Gov't Mule's London concert from 2009.... I think somewhere around November - I can't remember the exact date !! It's very good & will stay in the collection.... it'll come out from time to time I guess, but not this evening !!
It's been a great week for music. From Gov't Mule, thru' 'Woodstock' to Peter Gabriel last Monday. Add to that, the new Evarnescence album, the Gratful Dead live stuff from the last fair + the Cd from Whyzdom 'From The Brink Of Infinity'.... well, it's been a really good week !!
The down side, well - that was my mate losing his Sister....... kind of put's it all back into focus really... for now.....
