Nine Inch Nails & A Quiet Afternoon... Ho-hum

Greetings Worlds !!

I hope you are all doing well, this fine & misty day ?! It's kind of strange here.... I can not really see too far, out thru' the living room windows.... mainly as mentioned, it's a misty day !! I can see the village school, but that's only a few hundred metres away.... the beach, which is way off in the distance - well..... that's just a no hoper really !!

Anyhoo - it's a Wednesday, here in old England. Now, having said that & knowing full well what day it is.... I'm still a little confused. Well, more than a little....

Over the last few months - I have been attending a 'clinic' on Wednesdays....... this week, however, I went & met with the lady, I see, yesterday !! This has completely screwed my brain up !! I live a very simple life... and I use regular things, like visits to the 'clinic'... as a guide to which day of the week I am actually on !!

Never mind... it's a Wednesday & I'm home alone !!

ME is having a day off from work & - as J had to go into town, for a meeting... she has driven  him, along with B, for a quick shopping trip. Usually, B takes him in - but, ME wanted to put her car thru' a car wash - so, she is doing the honours today.

Which means, the music is up to just below deafening & I'm multi tasking, with writing these words & loading stuff onto the computer - ready for the Mini Egg. Today... well, I'm doing a 5 Cd box set of Zeppelin boots. It's a collection of their shows, from the very early days - right thru' to their last concert - on my birthday - in 1980 !!

What I was actually doing in 1980.... well, that's a little bit of a blur really !! I can't really remember much about that time of my life. I did go out to Bermuda, to be with my Ex's Mum & Dad, for Christmas.... but, beyond that... it's not something I can think too much of !! Never mind..... my life has gone on, one heck of a lot, since those days....... in many ways, for the better.... sooooo many ways, you can not imagine !!

The music of the moment is a 2 Cd set by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. I did a Cd copy of their DVD - released officially, of their show in Montreux. I bought the DVD - but, as with most of these things... I lifted the Cd, as I prefer to listen to the show, rather than watch it !!

I remember, the visuals were a little flat.... but, the music is brilliant.... hence the Cd's of the concert !!

As mentioned - no doubt - before... in March, B & I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary...... and yesterday, as part of our little celebrations, I bought B a silver watch.

It's really good & I knew exactly which one - or type of one - she wanted, so..... "Happy Anniversary" B !! I hope it lasts as long as - well, as a reminder of our short time together..... I really love my Wife !! Bless her......

Going back to yesterday... I took a book, with me, to the 'clinic'.... and B - another B - the lady I see there pointed out something I hadn't really thought of before. It was sent to me, by a lovely pen-friend I had, in America... and contains verses by Kahlil Gibran...... I hope I've spelt that right. It's the guy who wrote 'The Prophet'... anyhoo, B pointed out that the verses it contained are very romantic & something some one, who cared for someone - maybe even loved - would give to another person, the focus of their love... if I'm making any sense at all ?!

You know, I had never thought about the book - or my friendship with Joan (the lady who sent the book) in that way. We were friends & that was all.... it was a gift, to one friend, from another. It's amazing what you think of, even after nearly 30 years !! Oh well.... if you are reading these words Joan.... I hope you are well & happy !! Drop me a breadcrumb.... so, I know you are actually "out there" in the Internet Universe.

Ok - tomorrow, B & I are heading up to a local town.... mainly as B has been given a prize !! This includes a free hair cut & stuff, at the towns ladies hairdressers.... not too shabby at all !! So - if it's a nice day, I'm going along for the trip & I'll have a look around, while B has her hair done !!

I've not been there in years....... so, it should be fun !! They used to have a really good, independent record shop.... but, I can't imagine that's still there, after all these years... time will tell, I guess !!

ELP's Cd is almost finished - so, I've loaded up Nine Inch Nails' 'The Fragile'. Now, there is a change of pace - see, that's what you get, in this homestead of ours !! Music, more music - and even more
music !! It never gets boring & that's a fact !!

Next week - B is taking J up to Wales, to look at his Uni..... I'm going to be home alone, for the whole day !! I tell you... all these Cd's and a box of drugs.... well, it's going to be an interesting day !! Oh - the drugs are from my Dr.... so, nothing to get excited about !!

Ok - I must think about packing this up soon..... I don't really have much to do, but... I want to spend as long as I can, not doing it !! MY God - this Nails' album is loud.... until next time...
