Twisted Sister & Singing with them angels..

Hi Everybody !!

It's about 5.30pm, here in England.... and it's blooming cold & windy outside !! B has just gone off to her (last) "Weight-Watchers" meeting & I waved her off, from the front door & it was really cold !! Luckily, I've had the heating on, for most of the afternoon... so, it's well cosy in here !!

I have felt sorry, for both of the 'Ladies of The House' today...... ME went off, at about lunch time, to do a half day, at work.- after a nice warm, stay in bed, sort of morning & - as mentioned - B has just gone out !! Mind you - it's B's second trip.. out into the wilds - so, she should be hardened to it really !! No - I'm only joking...... tho' B did go out to the gym, earlier.

So - once again... that's just leaves J & my good self, home tonight..... once 'Pointless' has finished, on the TV.. it will be back to the music !! I've been playing stuff, all afternoon... mostly thru' the headphones - so my ears are just cooling down now !!

I loaded the Mini Egg up with loads of albums earlier - so, as I type, things are being transferred across. I surprised myself really.... I found about 10 albums by the British rock band, Uriah Heep !! When I actually bought the things I don't know.... but, it's been "fun" to listen to some of the tracks !! I even, I think, sorted out a mystery, that has been bugging me.....

A while back, I picked up some Cd's by Therion...... I wrote about them in earlier posts. Well, the lead singer - or one of them - was a guy called Snowy Shaw..... and it's been bugging me, as I knew him from some where - tho' I didn't know where !!

So - earlier - I found a live set, by Uriah Heep & their singer (at that time) was a guy called Bernie Shaw..... so, with-out checking the Internet, I think I've solved my little mystery !! Tho' I will check later - and kick myself, if I'm wrong !! It's really been bugging me !! Oh well.......

Right - the TV is off & it's back to music !!

For some really weird reason, I'm playing the Beatles '1962-1966' singles album !! Now - remember, I'm not a great Beatles fan... but, I want to put the whole singles thingy, onto the Egg... hence I've pulled the album out !! How long I'll actually listen to the thing, is another story - but, what the heck !!

I picked up the 4 Cd's ('62-66' & '67-70') before Christmas, last year.... and it only took a listen or two, to realise that the first two Cd's would actually fit on one disc.... so, that's what I did !! Why the good people, who sell this things, haven't done this before !! But - I guess, there is more money to be made by selling two short Cd's - rather than one full length one !! Nevermind..... it's all good !!

Earlier, I had an e-mail, from one of the guys who come around to teach us - as part of The Church. Well, in a nutshell - he is worried that he has upset us, in some way..... which, really & truly, he
hasn't !! As I explained to The Bishop, on Saturday (I think) - we just need time, as a family, to sort ourselves out !!

I'm not sure if people - in The Church - really understand what we are facing here.... with the next surgery !! Just saying "I'm going into hospital, for surgery" doesn't come close, to what is actually going
on !! It's truly hard to explain..... but, this is more than just me saying "yes"... it has had to be a family decision.

If this all goes well... it will be a huge thing & will really improve things, for all of us. But, if it goes wrong... well, at best, I could be paralysed.... or even "Singing with them Angels..."..... But, with the family to support me, it's been something I have had to think long & hard about !!

As I say... just saying, about going back to the hospital, for a surgery.... well, that's only half of the problem !!

I will know more, on Thursday.... that's decision day... so, I will let you know how things work out !! But, before that....

...... tomorrow, is J's birthday !! He's another year older & seems to be the same lad I knew as a boy !! He's all right & with going to Uni, later in the year, well... this is a big year for him !! We all wish him well, we really do !!

But - with his birthday, tomorrow... I will not be posting for a few days.... so, if you log in & there is nothing new - well, I'm sorry about that, but it's going to be a busy few days ahead of us.... so, I hope I can be forgiven !!

But, before I go... today's "track of the day" is a trio of things, by Twisted Sister.... which featured 'It's Only Rock 'n' Roll'... the old Stones hit. The 3 tracks came off an old 12 inch single & I found them, today, when i was transferring stuff from tape, over to Cd. I only saw them once, but they were really fun..... check out some of their stuff... if you can find it !!
