I really need my beauty sleep.... again !!

Hi everybody !!

It's a fantastically warm Saturday, here in England..... it started warm & just got harder as the day went along - great stuff !!

No, I'm only joking.... sort of, it has been warm tho'.

I have spent the day... no, first off "the family" !!

As I type, B is sat here with me, watching part of season 2 of the American show 'Lie To Me'. There are only 3 Seasons, I think & luckily, we have all of them..... in little box sets. We are taking the chance to watch all of the episodes... one by one. We started a few days back & now we are into season 2 !!

I think we are watching some of them for the first time. I know we have seen most of them - but.... oh well, it's only a TV show. Sure, it's a really good one... especially as it stars Tim Roth, the British actor. Check out a film called '1900' - he plays a really great role in that.....

Because the TV is on..... I've turned the music off - for a while at least - but, I've had a "great" day - I've decided to call that my word of the day.... ho-hum !!

As mentioned before - B has been sorting out a her little "craft room". It was ME's bedroom - but, since she has moved out - B has her own space, to do her paper craft & cross stitching stuff + anything else she likes doing !!

Anyhoo.... on the wall, there are 4 shelves.... and I have taken all of our old Disney videos & put them on the things. Ok - why are we still keeping old videos ? Well, mainly as their Disney & - on top of that - they all still play fine.... so, maybe one day, we might some Grandchildren, who might - just might - like to sit & watch them !! You never know.... life is full of little surprises !!

Right - even I admit, it's going to be a very long time before any Grand kids are going to be old enough, to actually sit down & watch the blooming things, but.... there is no harm in thinking ahead !! Right, the M & M's might disagree with me, especially as they've just started out, paying off their 30 year mortgage !! But, it's all good fun !! Besides, I'll be well dead, before all of that happens....  Oh well !!

Back to today...

I have been sorting out some storage thingy's - so that B will have more room, to put her stash of things away & tidy. To do that - I've been emptying the things of all the cassettes they contained & moving them around !!

It's been kind of hard work.... you try & move 2000 cassettes, with a hole in your back.... plus a couple of metal rods, in place of a spine !! Not easy.... tho' - I am getting better - I've learnt to turn my body, at the waist, rather than try & twist it, from mid way up !! That last bit is very painful !! Don't try it at home kids !!

But - I've done all of what I can, for today & I have found some really old tapes.... like the one I'm blasting thru' now !! It's from Yngwie Malmsteen & is called 'Trial By Fire/Live In Leningrad' - I forgot all about having it !! The tracks are:

It's a great album.... & came out, in 1989 !! Who says tapes don't last - it's the way they are treated - not the tapes them selves !! Case in point...

I went, into a shop, to by a new record deck...,. and I wasn't sure about the price. The store manager says "Harry" (or what ever the guy was called ) has a deck that cost £3000 !! I turned around & told him, he also had a dumb haircut & bought a N.A.D unit, for just under £500 - the deck works well & I still have a better haircut than
"Harry" !!  Moving on, or at least back a space....

I've just remembered who the singer is.... the amazing Joe Lynn Turner !! I must of played this tape over & other.... and, probably each time, I remember Mr Turner is involved !! Oh well - one of the better vocalist, in the Ritchie Blackmore cast offs pile !!

Because I've been moving all of these tapes, I have had a field day going all of the old one & playing parts of them, into one of the 4 cassette decks we have...... you can never have too many bits of music machinery around you !!

It really has been fun, going thru' the tapes - I can now (for a while at least) find out, exactly where I have put them all !! Thankfully I numbered all of the cases, as I recorded them - to make life a little easier, in my old age !!

The way, that things are, at the moment - I can find all of our old Lp's, just at a moments glance, at the colour coded index !! Hey - it works for me.... !!

Right, I must close down now - tis getting late & I need my bed tonight !! The thunder storms we had, earlier this morning.... well, they did just enough, from letting me have a perfect sleep...... so, tonight - I really need my beauty sleep !!
