Queen & stepping back in time !!

Greetings World's !!

How are you all doing this fine day... I've just checked - it's a Tuesday, here in England. I had to do a double check, mainly as I've not written for a couple of days - I loose track of the days.... they just fly by me & I can't keep up !!

Nevermind..... It's a warm, but not overly Sunny day here..... I can't see the sea, over in the distance - it's too cloudy !! I love looking over & seeing the blue water, on a bright day..... not today tho'.

As I type, B is upstairs, finally getting to grips with her new craft space !! She has wanted a room, to herself - to really spread out her craft stuff & to be able to sit, at a table & do cards & things. With ME moving out - she has got her wish !!

The room is only small - but, we had an old table, parts of which, were up in the loft.... so, I went up the old ladder & found them out - the actual top, well - that was under our bed... so, it really didn't take long to get it all together !!

I've just been upstairs - all of J's bedroom is clear now..... better explain that !!

When J went over to Wales - to do his Uni course.... B kind of moved a lot of her "craft-stash" into his room. To say the least - it didn't really work out overly well !! After only a short while - there was this, that & the other, all over the place.... a real mess !!

So, now that ME has moved out.... her old bedroom has become the "official" craft space !! Over the last few days, the M & M's have moved nearly all of their remaining stuff, over to their place.... which has meant B has been able to crack on & get her stuff together !!

That means, that J's room is clear now - apart from his bed & stuff - for when he comes home. I spoke to him, on Saturday...... but, at the moment, we don't really know what his plans are - for the Summer. He says he is happy to stay up in Aberystwyth..... sooooo ..... that's up to him really !!

I know he still hates my guts & still has a problem with me - but, I'm past caring now !! I e-mailed him over the weekend - so far, I've heard nothing back !! If he wants to come "home" - well, the only thing stopping him..... it's up to him...

Moving on.... or back a bit....

I didn't do very much, on Sunday... or yesterday, for that matter. I was really low, felt like crap & spent most of my time in bed...... I still find, that the best thing, for my various pains, is to sleep !! When I'm out cold - there is nothing bothering me.... so, life is good !! Unfortunately - I can't sleep 24/7 (tho' it would be great if I could) - so, at times.... I have to work my way thru' the worst of it !! Oh well...

I feel a lot better this morning...... so....

As for the music of the moment...

Well, I was sat in the car, on Saturday - while B shot around the supermarket. - and, in a nut shell, I was a little fed up with listening to some of the stuff, that I had been playing on the Mini Egg !! So - I landed up playing Queen's first album....... and it was like stepping backwards in time !!

Way - way back, my first car was this old & rusty mini type thing, called an Elf..... and, one of the first things I did with it, was to put a tape deck, into the thing. It was a crud piece of stuff, but it worked !! I think it was made by 'Phillips' or somebody like that..... anyhoo - it worked well enough !!

On Saturday... well, I was reminded of the old tape deck & my old car.... listening to the early Queen albums, all of which I had on pre-recorded tapes. Lots of people have said tapes don't last - well... I still have the cassettes here, to disprove that theory !! The tracks are:

I'm actually playing the tapes, as I type.... so, even after all these years, they play pretty good !! I'm just coming to the end of 'Sheer Heart Attack'. It's been weird playing them - after about 1977, I went off of the band..... I think they - or my good self - lost the plot & I stopped enjoying their studio stuff...... tho' - the live albums are a different matter !!

Talking of which - when Queen played Taunton, in 1974...... they only played for about one hour, give or take !! There was a disco - for all the dancers in the crowd - then Queen did a set.... followed by the disco again !! All very surreal !! Oh well......

I'm now home alone.... B has gone into town, to meet up with ME & do a bit of shopping. I have to go down, to the local surgery, at 3pm.... so, she won't be overly long !! Hopefully, the change of dressing will go better today - I landed back at the hospital, on Sunday afternoon, to get the last one re-done !! It was meant to go from Friday... thru' to today. Yep - that didn't happen !!

A week, tomorrow, I have to go back to Exeter - to let the people there have a look at it. I'm not really sure what good that will do - it's not like they can wave a magic wand & fix things !! I am really fed up with the whole bloody lot of them..... it's like I'm a commodity, being pushed between Consultants, who really & truly don't want me in their hospital anyways !!

Not to worry..... at some point, in the future, it will either be fixed or I will die with a hole in my back !! That's the top & both ends of it - so..... moving along...

My plans for today..... well, now that B has gone out, I might just sit down & read my 'Game Of Thrones' book. I was going to move a few tapes around, but... I want to wait for B, to be here - to help me & give me her input on what it's like.

So - with the music turned down to deafening & the morphine bottle on hand, I will be on my ways !! As always - I thank you for logging in & reading my words... until next time..
