Greetings World's !!
It's a very warm, bright, Sunny day here in England..... it's really nice outside !! Of course, that beggars the question "what are you doing indoors ?" Good question - I just wanted to rest up, a little bit - and, I wanted to write some words !! It's not much of an answer - but, it's all I've got !!
Ok - it's a Friday.... and, as I type - B... My Wife & Dearest Friend - is out, to the back of the house, doing one of favourite past times... a bit of gardening. Well - not so much "gardening" - more like potting up plants & stuff like that.... she is happy, so.... I'm leaving her to it !!
As long time readers will know - the other members of the family, our Son J & our Daughter ME... well, one is over in Wales, doing his Uni course & the other has bought a house, with long time boyfriend M.... they are quite happy.... well, as far as I know, at least !!
We'll not sure what J is up to, as B is waiting to hear from him !! Oh well... it's their lives - I'm well past chasing him !! We have offered to go & fetch him & his stuff, home for the Summer break.... but..... !!
Right - as I posted, a couple of days back.... on Wednesday, I had another trip, down to Exeter, to see the Consultant, about my back wound.
Well, we got up early & headed South, to be there on time. As mentioned before - it's a 50 mile trip... so, it takes a bit of doing, as far as I'm concerned !! Anyhoo - B drove me down & a nurse did the dressings....
I don't think she was going to involve the Consultant - just a quick dressings change & out the door !! But, I made a point of asking to see the man.... after all, it is a bit of a hassle, getting down to the hospital.
So, she went & fetched him & we had a little chat about what happened, since he did the last surgery, on May 12th. I didn't really get too much out of him.... well, nothing we didn't already know !!
He admitted that - not only had the 2nd skin graft failed... but, as we already knew, the wound had actually got bigger again !! Honestly - I'm no Dr. - but, I knew all of that, having to live with the bloody wound, every day !!
He said he was sorry - but, he thought (at the time) that a skin graft was the best ways forward.... now, I'm back to the situation I was in, after Christmas - when the 1st skin graft failed !! Oh well....
He can't do anything about it all, for a while, as it will take time, for things to sort themselves out - but, in 6 weeks, I have to go back to him & then, maybe - just maybe - he will do the bigger surgery.... the one he was going to do on May 12th !! Ain't life great ?!
Nevermind.... this week has not been a total waste....
As mentioned on Tuesday... it was a special day, for a very special lady in America.... her 50th birthday !! So - after being very, very tardy... I got B to get the Facebook page up & I contacted her - to just say "Hi" & to wish her a "happy birthday" !!
I actually wrote her an e-mail... sooooo, after being a complete jack ass, over the last few years... I was really happy, that I decided to get back in contact with her !! As I say - the week hasn't been a complete waste of time !!
If you are reading these words, Lady M... I will be e-mailing you later on today !! I did promise, to do it yesterday - but, after going down to the hospital & everything..... including a trip to town, yesterday - I was just too knackered to write very much at all.... I will write to you later tonight !! I promise !!

The music of the moment, is part of The Grateful Dead's 'Woodstock' set... from 1969. I know... I'm going on, about Woodstock again.... but, I really do keep coming back to the festival recordings !!
The Cd's I'm playing, at the moment, are from the film's "extra's"..... from the DVD's that came out in 2009, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the festival. As mentioned, before - I've put the DVD's onto Cd & that way, I get to play them, when ever I want - rather than putting the DVD into the player !!

As always... don't buy bootlegs !! Tho' - these Cd's are only for my own use... so, I don't know if that put's them, into a "bootleg" label or not ?! Nevermind - I really love playing them... !! This Grateful Dead 'Lovelight' track is over 30 minutes in length... so, it meets my own needs !!
Going back, to yesterday.... I picked up a couple of 2nd hand Cd's..... from the little record shop, in town. They are.....
Lou Reed's albums... 'Lou reed' & 'Transformer' double pack..
Lindisfarne's 'Magic In The Air' & 'Caught In The Act' double live pack... plus, on vinyl, Sammy Hagar's 'Loud & Clear' - on Lp......& 'Christmas At The Patti' - double 10 inch vinyl.....
All of the above were about £7.... so, it was a great bit of cheap listening !! How the guy makes a living, selling stuff so cheap, I really don't know - but... I'm not complaining !!
The last one - well, I used to have a copy.... and I still have a Cd of it - but, as it was really begging to be bought, at the massive price of £1.50 - well, who am I to argue !!
Just staying with music...
In the hospital shop, on Tuesday, B bought me a copy of the 'Metal' magazine 'Kerrang !'. If you get chance to buy it - it's worth is, just for the Cd... which are covers of Green Day' tracks.... it's well good !! Check it out.... I love it !!
Right - earlier today - I had to go down to the local surgery, to have my bloody back dressings changed again.... you may have heard the screams ?! Anyhoo - I have to go back, this afternoon... this time, to see my local Dr.
Anyways - I should of made a joint appoinment, save going down there twice, in one day !! Nevermind....
... so, that's my plans for this afternoon, really !! I've to finish this of, then head back down to see him.... fantastic really !! I have such a hectic life - I don't know how I fit everything into my schedule !! Oh well..
So... I will away now & sort myself out...I thank you all, for taking the time & logging in & reading my words... until next time..
