A New Year & A New Project !!

Well Greetings Worlds !!

I hope your bit of the Internet Universe has treated you well, these past few days !!  It's January 1st 2013 - what about that then !! My last day of the old year, well - I won't be too graphic, but.... I spent the past 48 hours, either in bed, or wishing I was !! Honestly - not the best way to see out the old year !!  Never mind... to fill in, just how bad it was..... I actually had to cancel a trip to the Dr's.... as I was too sick to go !!  Not good !!

"No" !!  I had not been drinking or anything.... so, it wasn't the demon booze that got me !!  I just had some kind of bug & it knocked me to football fields to the left & then back again..... never mind !! Dr B, did her usual great job of looking after me.... making sure I was awake, when I wasn't & everything along those lines !!

Talking of B... she is helping ME, doing a bit of a "clean up" in the little ones room.  She - ME - has just worked 2 nights on the trot & really didn't feel too keen on doing her room - so, in came B, to the rescue !!

The house smells of baking, as I type.... B has been busy for most of the morning.  Mince pies, sausage rolls, various sponge cakes & everything.  Looks good & smells great !!  I wish I could eat more of her cooking - but, that's not such a great idea !!

So - with the ladies of the house, in ME's room.... that just leaves J, hiding out in his Hobbit Hole. He came down, a short while ago - second breakfast.... but, he has now gone back into hiding..... Later, he is going over to our neighbour's house, to help sort out the central heating..... not so much, the heating, just the time clock.... P (our neighbour) doesn't seem to know how it works - so, J is going over to help out.

So - that just leaves me... here, listening to a 5 Cd Barclay James Harvest set. It's all very weird....... but, as I had the 2 Lp set - read my post, from sometime late last year - I thought I would hire this thing the library. It's Ok - but, if I tell you, it has several of the tracks, repeated, over & over... well - as good as those tracks are... it takes a bit of listening to !! Never mind.....

As my long term readers will know.... I spent a great part of last year, listing various Led Zeppelin concerts, which I have collected over the years. Well, altho' I didn't cover all of the concerts (in the collection) I didn't really want to do the same, all over this year........ tho', as I get new ones, I'll no doubt fill in the details....

.... but, this year - i wanted to step back, about 26 years !!

As you will know, I did this tape collection, all listed from the days of 1987. As I intend, to transfer those tapes to Cd... I've decided to do something similar for 2013.  I'm not going to record the tracks - but, just write them down & then, if I feel like it, relate those tracks to you, my readers !!

This might sound totally dumb... but, I hope it will come out Ok - besides, I only thought about this, a few minutes, before I started this post !!  To explain.....

As I've been feeling a little crap this morning - the ongoing effects of yesterday - I was transferring some more albums, over to the older of my 2 Ipod thingy's. Well - the very last track & I'm not making this up... was Greg Allman's 'Starting Over'... from his 1997 (I think) 'Searching For Simplicity' album.  So - that's the first track, of what I will call 'Project 2013' !!

It's an apt track... to "start over" again.... so, why not !!  Wish me well, on this one.... I think, as the year goes on, I'm going to need all the support I can get.... especially if I actually do have surgery !! Life is good.... so, no point in moaning too much about it !!

Last night, as is usual... we pulled back the curtains & watched all the fireworks going off - right up thru' the South of Wales & back thru' to the more local places. Luckily, the weather was clear - so, we had a great view !!  As I said before - life is good !!

Before I go.... we are starting the year off, in a bit of a pickle.  We didn't go to Church on Sunday, as we are no longer part of the Church, that we have been going to, these last 5+ years..... well, we didn't know where to go !!  As I say.... a bit of a pickle.... but, it has confirmed my thoughts of the last few years, we won't be going to Temple !!

Ain't life good.... ?!
