A quiet day - with music.. Ho-hum..

Hi again everybody !!

It's me again & as it's a Tuesday, I'm sat here - more or less on my own - as B's gone out to her meeting. ME - who worked all of last night & the night before - has a couple of days off & has headed out to M's place.... which just leaves J here to keep an eye on me !!

Apart from basting music around the homestead, for most of the day, it's been really quiet !! I've done next to nothing.... and it's been pretty good !!

I suppose the big upset of the day, has been the demise of the fantastic HMV music stores !! How bad is that - you go to work one day... and all's fine... then, the following morning, you find you no longer have a job to go to !!

Ok - I know the stores (as far as I know) are still open.... but, it can't be good.... knowing the place is going to probably shut at some
point !!

Personally, I'm just glad we went into Taunton last week & used up the gift card ME had given me for Christmas...... I think I'm right in saying, that they are no longer valid - so, had I waited any longer, I would of been stuck with a card, that was no longer any use !!

Oh well - I'm sorry guys... but, it just goes to show, no job is safe anymore... despite what the Government might say about the future of the economy !!

Right.... my day !!

I've spent most of it, putting stuff on the "Mini Egg"..... If you don't know what I'm talking about, the "Mini Egg" is the fantastic iPod thingy, the family has bought me... ready for my next stay in hospital, whenever that might be !! So far, I've managed to put, about, 1500 tracks on the thing.... I know that might not sound like too many, but if you take into account, that some of the tracks are upwards of 30 minutes in length... well, it's quite a lot !!

It's taken my mind off this crap body, I inhabit....... for some really stupid reason, it has hurt like heck today !! No matter how many pills & potions I take, I'm only numbing the inevitable. never mind - at least I'm able to joke about it all !!

P - our best neighbour - came over earlier & we had a good laugh about our various health problems !! His heart condition seems to have come out on top..... I could only trump his heart, with my various things - so, I think he won the battle of the moans !!

Only joking....

Anyhoo - as I've felt like crap.... I've spent the day messing around with various Cd's & listening to whatever came to mind at the time !!

Which reminds me...... the track of the day has to be 'The Dawn Crept Away' by The Edgar Broughton Band. It's off of their 'Wasa Wasa' album & I've been playing it today... so, it kind of got a hook into me & it gets my vote for today !! Check them out - if you can..... I know - up until a year or two back, they were still going..... but, the Cd I've mentioned is well old !!  Still good tho' !!

The music of the moment is Therion's 'Live Gothic' Cd... which I picked up a month or more back. I'm being good - I've not bought (as in using my own money) any albums, since November 1st of last
year !! Ok - I know ME has bought me a couple - with the Xmas gift card thingy - and B, bless her little cotton socks, has ordered me the Allman Brother's 2012 box set - but, me... personally... I've not bought anything !! Well good..... it must be the longest I've gone, without treating myself !! Oh well.... the year is early !!

As yet, we've not heard anything from anybody at Church.... well, not this week at least !! I know B keeps getting text messages, from a lady.... but, that's about it !! At the moment, that suits me fine !! I didn't realise, while I was in hospital, last time, just how upset B was by it all.... everything that was happening !! Never mind - our lives will go on & on.......

Oh - last night, there was this 60 minute programme.... about young Mormons, who all seem to go to this one holiday place in America..... it was quite an eye opener !! If their folks ever get to see it - they will be sooooo proud with their offspring.... not !!

Ok.... my plan s for tonight....

Well, none at all really..... I will probably forget about doing any more iPod transfers, for tonight.... it takes quite long to do the stuff I like, so... I'll give it a rest !! I don't think we're doing anything at all tomorrow.... so, I'll have plenty of time to do stuff then !!

So - for now, at least... I will be on my ways... until next time.....
