Roy Harper' 'Counter Culture'.... Ho-hum...

Hi again everybody !!

It's another Monday, here in England..... altho' the snow (well, most of it) has gone, from around our little village - it's still pretty cold outside !! Nevermind... I'm sat here, with the heating on, typing away.... so, I'm doing Ok !!

I had to go down, to our local Dr's this morning.... mainly to get something to help with the "sickness" I'm getting, since being on the newest of my pills. It's true, I've not been on them for very long - so, I need to give them a chance to work.... but, every time I take them, I feel like I want to throw up !! So, to combat the problem, he has given me some more pills, to take 3 times a day.... which, he says, will help !! I hope so.... I don't want to stop taking the "new" pills, as they are helping control some of the pain !! Oh well.....

I also had the chance, to show him (my local Dr) the picture of my recent CT scan... which showed up the various breaks in my spine - which, somehow, the last x-ray he sent me for, didn't show !! How they were missed, well, that's beyond me.... but, at least he saw, for himself, what the Consultant is going to work on !! I still think it stinks, that the guy missed the problem - first time around...... never mind, everything is being sorted now....

...... well, I hope it will be !!

I'm going back to the hospital, in just over a week.... so, I hope, we will know, one way or another, what is actually going to happen - surgery wise !! Hopefully, once it's decided .... well, if they're going to do anything, it won't take too long to get under way !!

Part of me wants to get it (the surgery) over with.... but, part of me - knowing it's going to hurt like heck - wants to put it off !! But, all in all, we know it will be for the best, so.... pain or no pain, if they do it... the sooner the better !!

Anyhoo....

I'm here, as I say.... with J, upstairs, looking out for me... if I need anything & what have you. ME is working today.... she did two half days, over the weekend, which she liked, as it gave her time to meet up with her boyfriend (M)..... they were both here for supper last night, so it was great to have the "whole family" together again !!

As for B... well, she has headed into town, to pay some bills, put some money in the bank & take in a gym class.... so, she won't be home for an hour or more !! Gives me chance to play some loud music & do some quiet stuff, which I keep putting off !!

I'm still transferring the Project '87 tapes, over to Cd...... it's taking a while tho' & I need to be able to concentrate on it, while I'm actually doing the transfer - to stop me making too many mistakes !! I'm on tape 18 (out of 42) and Cd 24...... I've given up, trying to work out, how many Cd's it's going to take - but, it's going to be quite a few & that's a fact !!

With each tape being 90 minutes long & each Cd only fitting a maximum of 80 minutes, well... it's going to take a while & a lot of discs !! If you have no idea, what I'm going on about - check out some earlier posts.... you'll find it all in there someplace !!

The music of the moment is Roy harper's 'Counter Culture' 2 Cd set..... a kind of 'best of' album. The track of the moment, is 'Me & My Woman'... which, as I've said before, is one of my all time favourites, by him. I've not decided on what the track of the day is going to be...... but, the day is early - so, something will come to mind !!

As yesterday was a Sunday, we should of gone to Church..... but, again, we didn't. I guess, "should of" is the wrong phrase.... it's not a case of "should of" - more a case of wanting to go..... you should only attend Church, for the right reasons & yesterday... well, once again... we didn't want to go !! Maybe another day - but, not yesterday !!

We have not given up... we still are Latter Day Saints & will remain so - but, until we feel the time is right, to attend Church again, we won't be going !!

I have decided, if I get a firm date, for the surgery... well, I am going to one of the Church's - not necessarily the one we've "grown up" in - but, possibly one of the other areas - to have the Sacrament, just before I  back into the hospital !! It's all complicated.... but, we still have The Lord in our hearts, so life goes on !!

Ok... my plans, for today...... Well, as I type, I'm loading a bunch of Cd's by Rush, onto the Mini Egg..... I was going to do them, over the weekend, but never got around to it !! So - today I'm loading up all of their studio albums & maybe later, all of their live sets !!

When I started, to load things onto the 2 "old" iPod's... well, I was really limited by the space on them. This new one - the Mini Egg - is 20 times bigger, so.... all the stuff I had to leave off the 2 "little ones" is now getting put on !! If I'll ever get around to playing it all, well - I doubt it.... but, at least i will have a good selection to listen to, at some point !!

B has asked - a few times - what I'm going to do, once I'm out of hospital... well, if I'm well enough, I'm going to do another model railway, so... I'll buy a thingy, to listen to the Egg, while I'm working on it !! That's all in the possible future - so, I'll work around that, if or when it happens !!

Anyhoo.... for now, I really ought to be away & get on with some other things !! I'm not 100% sure if I'll be posting tomorrow - but, on Wednesday I'm going to the 'clinic' again.... so that should be interesting !! The last time I was there, I was really hoping that I would have some news, about the surgery... and now I have... so, I'm sure we'll discuss it all...... I'll let you all know..... until next time..
