We need to be strong, for each other !!

Well Greetings Worlds !!

It's Saturday here in England... and it's not been too bad a day, weather wise.  B & I went into town this morning, well - just about noon... and it was quite warm. I had to wrap up, but I was well hot come the end of the trip !!

The main reason for going in, was to sort out our home & car insurance... which both come due this month. Much to my surprise, both had come down this year !! I did consider contacting the Pope... it must be a miracle, to have something go down in price, rather than up !!

Never mind - it's all sorted now.... While we were in there, we went & did some shopping - that didn't go down... the food bill seems to go up & up, with each passing week !! But, we have to have food... so, we're screwed anyways !!

It's been a good day really... When we came home, B wanted to do some baking, so I took the chance to transfer another tape over to Cd. In a ways, that's wrong.... I'm still only part ways thru' tape 2... but, I've completed 2 Cd's... all very complicated !!

As time goes along, the tapes will have longer tracks - so, that will make the whole transfer thing, a lot easier. When I started doing these tapes, back in 1987 - they were just a bit of fun. Then, along with the guys I worked with & - in a way - the driving force, behind the whole thing... well, it was decided to do 42 tapes, in total.... so, taking one track per day (over a whole year) divided onto 42 tapes - well, it all became a a real work of the heart !!

For the reason behind the 42 tapes, well... we were all into 'The Hitch-hiker's Guider To The Galaxy' & hence, as the answer to the "meaning of life" question, was 42... it had to be 42 tapes !!  All completely mad... but, so much fun !!

Listening to the tapes, over the last few days... I can remember exactly why most of the tracks - well, the ones I've heard so far - were put onto the tape !!  I can't remember what I did yesterday - but, I can remember stuff from 26 years ago !! Completely mad !!

Enough about music - for now..... "The family" !!

B is here beside me... she has done the baking (I think) and has now started onto something else. J is here, upstairs someplace in his Hobbit Hole... which just leaves ME... who spent the night at M's place. Both of them will be here later, for supper. I'm not sure where the 3 cats are... but, that's the family !!

I'm not sure what is happening tomorrow.... I know we won't be at Church, so - I'm guessing we will have a quiet "at home" day !! The whole Church thing, well - it has become a little distressing, for me at least !! But, I have to be strong over this......

.... B went thru' a lot, while I was stuck in hospital, before Christmas & no one, from The Church came to her aid. She resents that & I really do agree with her feelings. Sure, people did come into the hospital, to see me.... but, as a family - well, we feel, The Church let us down !!

Added to the whole thing, about not being in the Taunton area, anymore - it's been a bad few weeks for us.... sod that, it's not been a bad few weeks, it's been a bad few months, for both of us !!

If you put the whole next surgery, into the mix.... well, it's more important to focus on the family, our family... more than what The Church !! I know the next surgery - in May - might not actually happen, but... if it does... well, we'll need to be strong, for each other.... & not worry about what The Church is doing !!

Ok - before I go... the track of the day !! I'm settling for a track called 'Only One Woman' by The Marbles. It came out so many years ago, I think in the 1960's.... and the reason, for having chosen that for today, comes back to our trip into town today.

As we were going along the road... the guy on the radio... played a new song, which as soon as I heard it, sounded like something you would of heard, on 1960's TV shows - it really did sound dated !!  But - it did remind me of my chosen "track of the day" !! So - that's how it came about.... for today at least !!

Right... I must be on my ways !! ME & M have just got here.... so, the whole family is "in the house" !! Must away... until next time...
