Reasons To Be Cheerful Pt 1 !!

Greetings Worlds !!

It's a Tuesday, here in England.... looking out the window, there seems to have been some fresh snow this morning, well - overnight I guess.... but, it's a crisp & dry day, apart from that !! I will not be going outside - not today... having spent most of yesterday afternoon, out in the town, catching everything from frostbite, down to a bit of a cold !!

No really... it wasn't anywhere as bad as that - but, it was cold & I was really bushed, when we eventually got home !! So - my plans for today, are to stay at home, in the warm, typing words & putting more music onto my Mini Egg of an iPod. Please read an earlier post, to understand that last sentence !!

The music of the moment, is 'I Heard It Thru' The Grapevine' by Creedence Clearwater Revival  It's on their 'Cosmos Factory' album.... I only mention this, as it's going to be my track of the day - for this year's project - please (again) read an earlier post !! Yesterdays track - well, it's more of a piece of music really... I stuck with Beethoven's 9th Symphony !! It is the version, that I recorded live, from The Royal Albert Hall, last year & I love it to death !! So, that's my past 2 days of featured tracks taken care of !!

As I type - I have the headphones on... blasting my ears to small bits of nothingness !! The Reason being, ME is working all thru' tonight & hence needs her sleep... so, rather than wake her up, I'm using the 'phones !! She actually bought them for me, so... it's nice to use them once in a while !!

So.... ME is in bed, as is J... which just leaves B, who I think is down at the Dr's - for a meeting... it started, while I was asleep & will finish about 11am..... so, I'm guessing she will be home, some time after that !! Anyhoo - that's the music of the moment & the family !!

Now - why "Reasons To Be Cheerful"......

I'll try & explain....... As long term readers (Hi again to my reader in Russia) will know - I'm due to have another surgery, in a month or 3... depending how things go, I guess. Anyhow, this has caused a little bit of upset, here in the homestead... B is more than a little bit worried about the whole thing, so..... as I'm not - I've decided to keep things really "cheerful" - until we actually know what date I'm going back in (to the hospital).... in the hope, that - if I'm cheerful, it might rub off on those around me !! Am I making sense ?!

I might of written all of this before - but, it's my plan & I'm sticking to it !! I'm not that bothered about going back in...so, I need to keep the rest of the family "happy" - well, as best as I can, at least..... so there you go !!

I didn't get chance to write anything, yesterday.... but.... I did have a lovely e-mail from our friend In Utah... so, it was brilliant, to come down, yesterday morning & have her words there to brighten my
day !! Especially as it didn't start too well....... well, from Sunday onwards....

We discovered we had a leak, in our heating system... which was leaving a puddle, over by the far speaker !! Bummer - as it not only made the carpet wet thru' - but, also, damaged the base of the speaker !! It seems to only be superficial stuff, so no need to call in the insurance guys !! But - it's a bit of a wakeup call -  as it was 3am, when we found the problem, so that wasn't sooooo good !! Nevermind - it's all fixed now - well, I hope so, at least !!

It did mean, however, that I was able to put the computer on & start the (long) process of transferring tracks across, from the computer, to the iPod !! Why did I start so early, well - I had over 1300 tracks to move, so... I put them going & didn't have to worry about it all, for the rest of the day !!

Going back, to Sunday... we didn't go to Church again.... mainly as I spent most of the day, in bed, feeling like crap !! Nevermind... I slept it off, so.... as time went on, things improved !! We're still not sure which Church we are supposed to go to.... it will all sort out, in the end, I guess !!

Oh - I forgot... yesterday morning, a lady came around, to go thru' all of the forms I need to fill out, or at least sign... ready for the stair lift thingy I'm getting !! I'm not really sure, if I really want one - but, it's all hard to take on board... with the guy coming out to fix me up with a new wheelchair (which I hoped I mentioned last week ?) and now, the stair lift !!

Oh well..... I think I must away, for now...... J Geils is blasting & I need a break !!
