It's been that sort of day..... Ho-hum....

Hi again.....

Once again, it's Tuesday night !! Which means, with J upstairs, to keep an ever watching eye on me... B has gone to her "Weight-Watchers" meeting. So - if any of you saw the documentary about how "W-W" last night... it has just confirmed what I had suspected for many years... it's a con job !!

If you have no clue, as to what I'm on about... they went "behind the scenes" & did some undercover work.... which just about showed, that - no matter what you are told (almost about anything these days) "W-W" are really only in it for the cash & bugger the people who pay their 2 shillings a week, to go to the meetings !!

The great thing about it - as far as I'm concerned... B has decided to quit going, as soon as I go into hospital, for the next surgery !! "Yippeeeeee" !!

I did suggest that she quit straight away - but, we decided that my surgery would be a good "excuse" to quit, rather than the obvious "I'm not going because of the TV programme" type of thing !! Ok - it might be a bit of a fib, but what the heck.... she only goes, to help the lady out (hence B doesn't pay) so, in a way - it's not letting anybody down, if she gives them notice !!

Never mind.... If you're reading these words, in any country but England (or the UK) I'm really thinking none of the above makes any sense at all !! Oh well.... you can look on the "Channel 4" web site, to check it out.... Onwards - ever onwards !!

So B is out, J is here & ME is working until 8 or 9 tonight.... so, it's a bit of a quiet night, all around... except for the music !!

At the moment, I'm playing a concert - or part of one - by Hawkwind... it's part of the 'Greasy Truckers Party' 3 Cd set. It came out on Lp - oh, I don't know... so many years ago, I've forgotten. But this 3 disc set came out in about 2007. It's pretty good really.... sooooo good, I decided to put it on the Mini Egg - which has caused me one big headache, as the afternoon has gone on !!

To explain.....

First off... you must remember, I'm a complete Luddite !! So, anything that means farting around with this computer of mine, or the Mini Egg (my iPod)... well, I'm blooming useless !! So - today, I decided to put some more Cd's onto the Egg, only to find the track listings, for the 'Truckers' Cd's didn't match the what was coming up, on the screen !!

Anyhoo.... feeling like crap, I was struggling to understand all of this, only to find - the tracks on the Cd case, didn't match any of the tracks actually on the discs !! To find all of this out, I went into meltdown - almost quite literally - and only worked out the problem, when I put the Cd's in the deck, to give me something to listen to !!

See, if I had listened to the music first, I would of understood what was going on.... but, no... not me... I had to look at the computer screen, for probably an hour, trying to work it out..... me & my lack of brain !! Honestly - I'm sure this computer hates me..... well, I hate it - so, it only seems fair it should hate me in return !!

I'll tell you how "bad" things got.... B was actually counting the tracks, on the Cd case, for me - just to try & make any sense out of it !! Just call me "Idiot" & we'll move on.... ever on.....

As mentioned before.... I was in meltdown mode earlier.... my body just about gave up on me !! The sooner that this next surgery takes place, the better - then, maybe (just maybe) they can put the implant back in & I can go back to being bionic again !!

I only had the thing in me, for about 9 months - but, the difference it made.... well, as you all know... you don't miss the good things, until you've lost them !! Maybe that's why I don't miss the ex Wife ?! No, really... the implant really helped me & - I know - it had to come out, so they could do the MRI, before Christmas - but, am I ever missing it now !!

Tomorrow, I have to go to what I call the 'clinic' - to see the lady (refer to older posts)... but, if I'm not careful & things go too badly wrong, it might be a very short visit !! Nevermind - I've got to look on the positive side of things.... to quote an old Italian phrase... "What is behind me, doesn't matter"... or maybe, it was an old film & they were talking about rear view mirrors !!

Oh well.....

My plans, for tonight... and tomorrow....

I am going to try & sort out the Egg - even if it means taking a hammer to it, to knock the tracks into the right position !! No - it won't get that bad - but, it's now become a war !! I will win - even if it means I take all night to do it !! So - that's tonight.... tomorrow, as mentioned, I have to go to the clinic.... I missed last weeks appointment, because of the snow - so, I really must go tomorrow !! It's only fair on the lady I see !!

Oh - I forgot.... the track of the day - which just had to be from the 'Greasy Truckers' Cd's... so, it's 'I'm Ahead, If I Quit While I'm Behind'..... kind of a bit of irony there, on my part at least !!
