So - here I am once more !!
Greetings Worlds.... how is your bit of the Internet Universe treating you today ?! A special "Hello" to my reader in Russia, it's nice to know you are there - I thank you for logging in & taking the time to read my words !!
It's another Wednesday, here in England... and, as such, I've just come home from my visit to the clinic. Well, I call it a clinic - I don't really know what else to call it ?! I go along, meet up with the lovely lady I see & after an hour, we say our "goodbyes" & arrange to meet again... in one weeks time. Oh well.....
Anyways... I'm home now... It's a bright, but cold, day outside.... not that I was too bothered by it, as long as I had my T shirt & jeans on, I can't say the cold has meant too much !! Besides, it's always warm at the place I go to, so... why put a coat on !!
For some dumb reason, I was up & down here at just after 6am this morning !! Really mad !! But - as I didn't sleep too well, last night, I decided to get up early, with B... and make a good start on the day.
Talking of My Wife & Dearest Friend.... B has gone with ME, up to Bristol to the big mall place they have there. ME has a thing, that needs to be exchanged & that is the main reason for the trip..... mad I call it... a 100 mile round trip, just to exchange a bit of clothing.... madness, complete madness !! But, that's our Daughter - once she gets something into her head... there is no stopping her !!
So - with the ladies of the house out & about... that just leaves J here..... with me, to waste away the rest of the day !!
The music of the moment is Tangerine Dream's old 'Encore' album. I had it on Lp - many moons ago..... so, when I saw the thing, on Cd.. well, I couldn't resist it !! I'm not sure exactly when I bought it... but, it was a goodly number of years ago !!
I know there is a "re-mastered" version available... with extra tracks... so, maybe one day, I'll pick that up - tho' I've never seen a copy.... so, it'll probably mean getting it from Amazon or some other Internet site !!
I have asked the ladies, while they are at the mall place, to check out if HMV are still open - and, if so, how much (if anything) they're knocking off the price of the Cd's they sell. I doubt if there are going to be any great bargains to be had - but, I would like to know !!
I'm not thinking about buying anything, at the moment... but.... you never know !!
As we were up early, this morning... we saw events in London unfold, more or less, as they happened. Incase you don't know what I'm talking about... a helicopter hit the top of a tower block thingy & crashed to the ground. As far as I know, two people have been killed - tho' I've not look at the news, in the last couple of hours - so, it might be more by now. Our prayers go to those who have been involved.....
I've had two bits of news, for myself.... concerning my next surgery. I've been booked in for a pre-op on February 15th - plus... which I didn't know about, until today.... they have sent me a consent form, as they would like to use my surgery, as part of a teaching thingy !!
I can say "no" if I want.... but, if my old bones can help someone learn something... heck, why not !!
As far as I can see.... if I agree... I will go to the hospital & have a bunch of photo's taken. Then, after the surgery - or even during (I guess) - they will take some more photo's. A kind of "before & after" type of thing !! All kind of weird... but, as I say, "why not" !! A bit spooky... but, it's all good !!
At least, I know now, that they are going ahead with the surgery !! There was a bit of doubt... but, it seems that things are going ahead - so, that's great news !! By that, I don't mean it's great that I'm having another surgery.... but, at least there is no more "will they or won't they" about it all. The last time I saw the consultant, well... he said they would look into doing it.... now I know for sure !!
Life is good !!
Ok - my plans for today. Well, I think I better turn my computer off for a hour or so !! It's been running constantly for about 6 hours now - so, it's running a little on the warm side !! I also need to put away some of the Cd's that are on the table in front of me..... I still have a bundle to put on the iPod... but, that will wait for another day !!
Oh - my track of the day... well, it has to be 'Mercy' by Alanis Morissette .... it's from her 'Collection' Cd & can be found on 'The Prayer Cycle' album... which I would recommend everybody to buy - just skip the James Taylor track... it kind of lets the whole thing down a bit !!
