...another quiet day in the wilds.

Greetings World's !!

How has your weekend gone ?! Mine has had more lows, than highs - but what the heck.... that's life I guess !! I really do wonder sometimes why.... but, until they can create a quick "get out of jail free" pill - I think I'll have to put up with it all !!

Ok - it's another Monday..... here in the wilds of the South West of England.... it's cold & dry here + we have power !! Some parts of the country have massive snow & power outages to put up with !! Good luck !!

Do you all feel like we do - when something happens here, in the SW.... very little gets heard about it, on the national news..... yet, if a person chips a toe nail, in London - we have to put up with hours of "in depth" coverage !! Hey !! Come on BBC - there is life outside of the cities - cover it sometimes, rather than fill us with your grockles every Summer !!

Moving on......

The guys are here, at the moment. ME has just done a 3 night rota - so, she is trying to get some sleep...... last time I was upstairs, she was laughing her head off, watching a film - so, I guess the sleep is on hold at the moment !!

I think J is about someplace - tho'.... well, I can't remember if I've seen him yet, or not !! He's about - lets leave it at that !! Which just leaves B - MY Wife & Dearest Friend......

She has just gone into town.... pay some bills, get some food & go to the gym. She is also hoping to get a bit of a repair, on my neck brace thingy....... I think she is going to the OT place, at the hospital - to to see if they can help out. I'm not sure if that's the right place or not.......

As I type - I'm listening to a 3 Cd set by the Grateful Dead - recorded at the Cow Palace in 1976. I'm not 100% sure what it's called..... mainly as the case is over yonder & I can't be bothered to go & fetch it.... so, there you go !! It's an official thing - so, it's worth buying........ check it out....

I'm going to buy myself the latest Allman's shows.... as & when they come out....... but, that's not news !! If you want to see why I like them so much - check out the Hittin' The Note web site & watch the band go thru' 3 numbers from their Beacon show !! You will not be disappointed !!

Just staying with music...... I think I've gone thru' most of the Cd collection, at least once - trying to put things onto the Mini Egg. It's been a lot of fun - but, in a ways, kind of hard !! For instance - what Springsteen do I put on - or worse still, what do I leave off !!

I'm just going thru' the Dream Theater albums, as I type - I'll probably put them all on........ tho' I will miss the instrumental Cd's..... well, maybe !!

Sometime, later this week, our mate G is paying us a visit..... He mentioned (last year) we didn't see enough of each other - so, after going around to their place (they were not home) & leaving a couple of 'phone messages, he actually got around to calling me back yesterday. I don't mind his tardiness - the guy is a busy man.... but, it'll be nice to see him, when he gets here !!

They are having a few hard times at the moment..... so, I can understand how things are for them. It'll be good to see him again.....

The living room is filling with smoke !! I've been lighting the fire - as I was typing, I forgot about it & the thing has gone all kind of "smoke bomb" !! I will have to have another look at it - to try & sort it out..... it looks pretty hot, all red & stuff - so, I'll see how it goes............ maybe call the fire brigade a little later !!

Once again - we didn't go to Church yesterday....... there is very little I can say about it really..... unless B decides she wants to go, I have to stay at home. I'm not in any kind of position to get myself there - with-out her driving the car & I'm not comfortable with her going, just because I want to go !! Does that make any sense ?! Oh well... onwards....

Oh, Oh !! This morning was interesting !!

We had to have this company..... start again........ I'm having to have a stairlift installed. It's not something I'm keen on - but.... it's all been sorted out & I'm leaving my addled brain out of it all !! Anyways - the company who are going to fix the thing, have made 3 different appointments to come around - the 3rd being tomorrow. Guess what - they showed up this morning !!

Honestly - they mess us around with different times & dates... then show up, expecting me to, kind of, fit them in today !! The guy didn't like it, when I said "No" to him - after all..... there are several things I don't like about the whole thing... plus - ME has just done a night shift, the last thing she needs is some guy coming in, banging & stuff, while she is trying to sleep.... !! Bummer !!

I've told the lady behind the whole thing, I didn't like this company - but, at the moment - that's the people we are suppose to use..... but, I'm not going to be "pushed" into doing shit I don't need (sorry) want to do !! There were two companies quoting for the job - the second one, was much better - but, the powers that be have decided to go with the first lot..... so, sod it all I say !!

I've just taken my 8 lunchtime pills......... in about 30 minutes or so, I'll feel like crap - as they hit my system... then, things will go quiet !! Honestly, are these pills meant to make me feel better or worse !! Answers on a £50 not to the above address please !!

I keep forgetting to change the Cd's - the ones I'm loading for the Mini Egg......... they feel really hot, when I get them out of the computer !! Oh well.....

Ok - my plans for today.......

Well, I have to put the Project 87 tapes away...... now that they are all onto Cd, I will hide them at the bottom of some place & dig them out, at some point, in many Moons from now !! I have several other "Project" tape collections, but none of them compare to good ol' 87 !! I might dig them out, at some point & give the odd tape a play thru' - but, actually putting them onto Cd.... well, at the moment, I doubt it !!

That'll take me a few minutes - to put them away.... so, after that... well, I don't know really. I do have old Cd's, that I've meant to send off to a friend - but, so far I've not got around to it !! I really should do that.... probably not today tho'..... so, that's about it really..... another quiet day in the wilds !!

So - for now... I will be on my ways.... until next time....
