Roy Harper + other stuff. Ho-hum !!

Greetings World's !!

How is your part of the Universe treating you this fine, overcast day ?! Looking out of our window - it's not looking too nice out there, lots of cloud & stuff....... never mind !!

It's been a hectic sort of day.... B wanted to take some flowers, up to her Mum's grave - for 'Mother's Day' on Sunday - and, usually, I avoid trips like that (it's a round trip of about 90 miles) but, this morning I went along for the ride.... now, I'm well knackered !!

I haven't been up there, in that direction, for a few months or so.... but, it was kind of good, to get out & see a little bit more of the
World !! We even went & visited B's Dad, on the way home !! I've not done that for a very long time !! He seemed glad to see us... tho' he did point out, that I looked poorly !! Yep - that's why I avoid long trips - they really take it out of me !!

He is going into the hospital, at some point, to see the same Consultant that I have.... well, one of them !! I mentioned he is a great Dr - so, that seemed to make him happy...... knowing he was going to see a guy who looks after me !! I'm not sure when I'll see him again.... probably later in the year.

Anyways...

At the moment, B is in the back garden, cutting up some logs, to use on the fire later.... I've told her, not to bother... but, she's out there with the neighbours dog (Murphy) & seems to be enjoying herself !! Madness, I call it !!

As for the "kids"... J is about here some place - he was helping B, but came in a little while ago. As for ME - well, she worked thru' last night - so, at the moment, she is in bed.... having a good sleep (I hope) ready to work again, tonight !! She then - after tonight - have a few days off...... hopefully, she will have a bit of a rest.... but, knowing our Daughter, she will be up & about, all over the place !!

So - that's the family..... As ME is in bed, I'm sat here with the headphones one, listening to Roy Harper's latest live Cd. It was recorded a while back (April 2011) & I've had a boot recording of it, almost since the day he recorded the concert.... but, this is a much better copy !! As always - don't buy bootlegs... buy the official stuff instead !!

Just took a break.... ME is now here, beside me, drinking a brew..... B is taking Murphy back & then she is coming in. The music has stopped - ME's got to have her afternoon TV !! Oh well...... it's all kind of sad really....... !!

Just back to the hospital........

I had a letter, this morning, from the 2nd Consultant - the guy I saw about 2 weeks back. In the letter, he gives the "go ahead" for the up coming surgery & has made an offer of help, if my 1st Consultant needs it !! So - it seems to have been given the green light !!

As I've said, over & over, before...... I just want to get a date & then go in & get it over with !! I'm going back to the hospital, in early May - so..... things are moving along quite happily..... I'm glad to say !!

I also had a letter, from Lady B....... from the 'clinic' I've been going to. I've only given it a quick read, but it's a "nice" kind of letter, letting me know a few of my options, in a while - probably (if I need help) after the surgery. Life goes on & I'm sooooo grateful for all the help Lady B gave me, at the 'clinic' has given me !!

Back to music...

I mentioned the Roy Harper Cd..... I've also picked up a copy of Rory Gallagher's 'BBC Sessions' album + John Fogerty's 'The Blue Ridge Rangers Ride Again' + Green Day's 'Tre !' (which I've probably mentioned before, at some point (in an earlier post)....... all of which are really good !! All this music and the Allman's box set to work
thru' !! "Such is life" - thanks Mr Kelly !!

Oh - I forgot... The Allman's have put some more concerts, on their web site.... from concerts, that are happening now, this month, at The Beacon Theater in New York !! Poor B.... she is really going to go mad, helping me listen to all of these shows !! Great stuff !!

If the good Lord gives me the means - I'll order some of them up, as & when things permit !! If you're reading this, Lady V.... put my name on a few of them !! "Thank you" !!

Right - my plans for today & the weekend..... well, we might head to Church, health permitting, on Sunday... as for the rest of the time.... I've no idea, what we're going to do !! Time will tell..... but, for now, I must away...... until next time....
