Well "Hello" Worlds....
I hope the Internet Universe is treating you well today ?! For myself - the World is turning nicely & the gravity is keep me well rooted to my little spot !! Life is good.....
It seems to be very bright, outside - but judging by the way, the few people I've seen are all wrapped up.... I'm guessing it's very, very cold !! As for me - well, I'm sat in our living (rec) room & I'm well cosy. Not only am I well wrapped up - but, I've got the fire lit - just to try & keep my little spot good & warm !! By lighting it, in the morning, the heat goes all around the house, usually via all the open doors !!
As for the family.... well, J is upstairs, keeping an eye on me, I guess. He pops down, now & again, to check up on me....... he's a good lad, really !! ME is asleep.... I hope, as she is working all thru' tonight !! All being well - she will have a good days sleep now & that will mean she doesn't struggle too much, during the wee hours of tomorrow morning !!
So - that just leaves My Wife & Dearest Friend, B.... she left a little earlier, to head towards town & do a bit of gym work. She hasn't been regularly.... well, not as regular... since I was taken into hospital, before Christmas.
Long time readers will know, that on many of the days, that I posted, I would mention B had gone to the gym. Well - as I was taken into the hospital, with-out much warning... it thru' all of little routines right out of the window - with the result that, well - the gym has taken a back seat for a while !!
Hopefully things will, kind of, get back to normal, for a while at least - before I go back to the hospital - in a couple of months time. As yet - I do not have a firm date - but, I was sort of booked in, for May... so, lets hope that's when things will happen !!
I'm seeing the Consultant, in early May... so, it's probably less than 2 months & I will - hopefully have some idea of a date, after that meeting !! We will have to wait & see, I guess......
When I logged in, this morning... I couldn't help but notice, my reader in Germany had been busy, reading loads of my words !! I thank you for your time & taking the chance, to read what little I write about..... all comments are welcome, so - if any of you feel like leaving some "breadcrumbs", I would be only too happy to pick them up..... I thank all of you for taking the time, to log in & read my words, it means a great deal to me !!
As for the music of the moment..... well, as I type, I'm listening to UFO - live from Knebworth, in 1985. It's one of the tracks on my Project '87 tapes & I'm kind of multi tasking !! I'm writing these words, transferring some tapes over to Cd and - as I'm feeling a little bit smug with myself - I'm putting some albums, from the computer onto the Mini Egg !!
Knowing ME was going to be sleeping today - I stuck a bundle of albums, onto the computer, last night, to transfer to day..... sort of quietly, so as not to wake her up..... if I can help !!
For a change... I've decided to list the tracks, that are being put onto Cd... from the old tapes. It'll give you all, some idea of what I was listening to, in 1987. Today's Cd's tracks are:
1) Monster's Of Rock 1987 - Dio..... about 20 minutes of a medley.
2) I'm In Love With My Car - Queen
3) Bolero - Classical
4) In The Mood - Ray Stevens ...... a clucking good track
5) The Camera Eye - Rush
6) Doctor Doctor - UFO.... as mentioned above.
7) The Necromancer - Rush..... from their 'Caress Of Steel' album
8) Stiletto - Billy Joel .... from his concert album, recorded in Russia
9) Paradise By The Dashboard Light - Meatloaf
I'm not sure if the last track is going to fit onto the Cd... but, I'll give it a go !! I suspect the disc will run out of space, before the end of the track.... but, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will fit !! I have about 9 mimutes left on the disc & I've no idea how long the track is...... so......
Oh - 3 things I wanted to mention, before I sign off.....
If you missed it, but a day or 2 back, Princess Lillian of Sweden died, at the age of 97. If you know nothing of this lady - check out the 'net & read an amazing story !! Plus - again, a day or 2 back - it was 100 years since the death of Harriet Tubman .... she died on March 10th 1913 (I think) at the age of 93. Two great woman !!
The 3rd thing I just had to mention....The Papal vote is just about starting. Now then.... I'm not a Catholic & I'm not qualified to pass judgement - but, how can so few men, be responsible for the election of one of the biggest "jobs" in the World ?! Oh well..... good luck guys.... !!
Our - Mormon - Church, has a similar process.... but, there are far fewer Mormons in the World, than Catholics... so, I say again "Good luck guys" !!
Right... I must away..... I've got very little to do & all afternoon not to do it in !! So - I thank you all for reading..... until next time.....
Bye BYe
