Another Quiet Day In The Homestead.......

Greetings Worlds....

How is your little bit of space treating you this fine morning ?!  It's a little after 11am here in England - the Sun is out, the sky is a kind of blue... with a few puffy white clouds, out over the beach.  All is well in my part of the Universe !!

J is behind me, getting his breakfast - or maybe an early lunch (?).  I never know for sure.... he's awake most of the night - working on his computer & talking to friends around the World... so, his "food clock" is way out of order, compared to rest of us !!

B has gone into town - to pay some bills, buy some food sort of stuff & take in a bit of gym time.... she will be home in a few hours or so.  That just leaves ME - who might be home in the early afternoon - as she is at a morning placement, which - I think - ends at about 2pm or there about !!

She is on a bit of a high at the moment - not only with finishing at Uni... but, she is getting the chance to look at various work places as well.  At some point, she is going up to Salisbury, for an interview & look around.... that can't be bad !!

It's a bit of a drive - but, it sounds like a good job, if she can get it !!

Anyways - that just leaves me & the cats.... I'm not sure where they are, but.... I'm here typing these words to you & listening to the music of the moment.  Which - as I type - is Queensryche's San Jose concert, from May 24th 1995.  I didn't realise it was that old - until I just looked !! "Wow" how time goes by when you're having fun !!

It hasn't been a very good night for me..... I made the mistake of eating some cooked stuff last night & - well, I paid the price for it way into the small hours !!  I keep saying "never again".... but..... I never listen to myself !!  After all these years, I really should .... but....... !!

Saturday afternoon & evening were not as good as I had hoped.... so, it was decided we should not go over to Taunton, for Church..... but, stay here & rest up instead.  I had hoped our friend C would pay us a visit - but, he never showed.  Never mind - hopefully he will be here another weekend.

As it turned out - staying home was a very good move.  I was soooooo out of it by lunch time, had we gone to Church - well, we would of had to leave early, so... staying home was for the best.  I really want to try & go, next Sunday - to celebrate another year on "Planet Earth" !!  Yep - it will be my birthday soon & I like going to the service, either prior or just after....... it's just something I enjoy !!

We will have to wait & see how I am !!  Onwards.......

I've just spoken to my friend in Bristol.  He's in fine voice this
morning !!  It's the Exeter record fair on Saturday & I was hoping he might be there - but, no such luck.  He buys & sells Lp's Cd's.. anything he can turn a profit to.... but, he does most of his stuff on-line now.  Oh well - it would of been good to have met up again, but it was great to have a talk !!

I'll wait until Friday - to see how I am - and then phone a guy up, who sells Cd cases & stuff.  He is a little more expensive - but, the cases are really good quality, so I don't mind paying a bit extra for them.  If I know I'm going, I'll order up a bundle & he'll put them together for me..... saves a bit of time on the day - plus he knows he has a confirmed customer !!

I'll also e-mail one of my other friends - incase he has anything for me..... he's great & often puts things to one side for me !!  We'll have to wait & see what happens this time around.....

Since I started typing - the Sun has gone in & the clouds are a lot darker now !!  I hope it doesn't rain again - all the gardens around here are wet & horrid at the moment !!  It's not as bad as some places, in the UK, but - we really could use a few days of hot dry weather, just to clear it all up a bit !!

It's not raining yet - but, I'll keep an eye on it.... mainly as B put some washing out to dry earlier.... I don't want that to get too wet !!

I did think about another show from the 1977 LA concerts.... but, then I thought about it & realised I couldn't miss another LA show, this time in 1972.   It's on 3 Cd's & the tracks are:

This is definitely one bootleg you do not need to track down !!  Great chunks of it can be found on 'How The West Was Won' official 3 Cd set, that the band released in 2003.  So - don't pay for bootlegs - especially this one... you can get it officially, so buy that instead !!

Having said all of that - it's a great concert & the atmosphere on the boot is brilliant.  The encores go on & on forever - tho'... there is some dispute over 'Weekend'.  The quality is pretty naff, compared to the rest of the tape.... so, it might be from somewhere else altogether !!

For myself - I think it was recorded on the same night... but, whoever did the recording was on his or her way out of the building at the time.... probably thinking Zeppelin were not coming back on stage, for another encore - as they came back, the person possibly switched the recorder back on & hence the quality is different !!

That might seem dumb - but, at Knebworth in 1979, thousands of us were heading back to the camp sites, when the band came back out & played 'Heartbreaker'........ so, it is possible !!

Oh well - more another time !!  Not sure when tho'.... but, more another time & that's for sure !!

Right - my plans for the rest of the day..... I still have to work on getting my Cd list up together, with the latest Cd's to be added, so that sounds like it will be something to do.  But - that's about it
really !!

I don't have anything else in the pipeline... so, another quiet day in the homestead I guess !!  So, with that in mind - I will away.  As always - I thank you for your time & for reading my words.  Until next time...
