Another Quiet Day In The Homestead......

Well  " Hi " Again Worlds !!

It is a Thursday morning here in England - it's started off muggy again !!  Oh well - at least it's dry & bright !!

B has just left the house to go to her carer's meeting in town..... J is upstairs cleaning his room (I didn't know it was that time of year again !) and ME is out at placement.  B says she is a bit happier this morning... ho-hum....

I'm not sure what time B will be home - but, it'll probably be about 2 ish... so, I have the house to myself again - the music will be blasting well loud this morning !!  Ok - I know J is here - but, once he gets his headphones on & goes into zombie mode, on his computer, nothing will bother him !!

A few minutes ago, I had one of those automated 'phone calls.... you know the sort of thing "You have yet to claim your etc etc" and what have you.  The reason I've not claimed my so & so... is because I'm not interested !!  Where do these blooming companies get off ?!  As soon as you make the call back to them, you're charged at some stupid high rate (for a phone call) and at the end of the day - well, it just ain't worth it !!

Oh well - in 2 days... if my health permits, we will be heading down to Exeter for the record fair.... hopefully it will stay dry for the trip !!  There is nothing worse than going some place - and then it pours with rain while you're there !!

So - here's hoping it stays dry & also.... that I come home with something special, after making the 100 mile round trip...... I hate the crowds as it is - but, to suffer those (the crowds) and come home empty handed - well, that would be a bummer !!

We will see how things go I guess !!

The music of the moment is another Led Zeppelin concert - no surprises there folks !!  But, as it's June 28th... well, it's a kind of special recording !!

It was recorded, just a few miles up the road from here, at the "Bath Blues Festival" - at the Shepton Mallet show grounds...... nothing too special about that - except this is a completely different recording, to the one that has been circulating over the years....... that makes it special !!  The Tracks are:

This is a complete version of the concert - with all between song talking & what have you...compared to the Cd versions of this show, that have been around for years now - this tape knocks the spots of of them !!  There is one little gap - at the end of 'Moby Dick' - but, that was where the tape was reversed.... no big deal !!

It's a great concert - featuring tracks from the unreleased 3rd album..... getting their first airing on stage.  In particular 'Immigrant Song' & 'That's The Way'.... heck, it's all good folks !!  One of their best British concerts..... As always, don't buy bootlegs !!  More another time...... !!

Ok - enough of me raving about concerts....... what's next ?!

Well.... I've no major plans for today.  If all goes well - I will try & sort out this mess in front of me !!  I kid you not, my computer table seems to be a magnet for every kind of junk you can imagine !!  From Cd's to books to scraps of paper - which probably meant something when I wrote on them & left them here for me to find !!  With my memory - well, I can't remember what they were for !!  Never mind..... life will go on - & believe me... my table does seem to have a life of it's own these days !!

So - with no big plans - it's going to be another quiet day, here in the homestead.  "Such is life..."
