Don't You Just Hate It....?

Greetings Worlds !!

I hope you're all doing well this fine evening ?  It's been a warm day, here in England - tho' it was just starting to rain a little while ago !!  Oh well - a good enough excuse for me to stay in the house !!

J had to go into town earlier, for a short meeting... so, B drove him in & I went along for the ride.  Instead of just hanging around, we did a little bit of shopping & he met up with us, when he finished.  It meant, however, that I was able to buy some more ink for my printer.

I had a bunch of things to run off tonight & figured that - with my luck - the black cartridge would go empty on me.  Don't you just hate it when that happens ?  You just get going & then everything stops - because one of the 'inks' runs dry !!

So - with that in mind - I bought a black cartridge & sure enough.... a few sheets into the printing... it ran out !!  So, instead of grinding to a halt, I went straight back to work !!

Oh well.......

It's a Wednesday night.... Denmark are playing Portugal, quietly in the corner, on the goggle box... and, just for a change... Led Zeppelin are blasting out of the speakers !!

I found an old tape & I wanted to see how good it was - I wasn't too disappointed !! It's great !!

As for the family... J & ME are upstairs, M is coming over in a short while..... and B has gone to her Wednesday night gym class.  Leaving me here with our oldest cat...... who I've just made a fuss of & given a treat !!

Maybe he likes Zeppelin - I doubt it... more likely, he thought if he stayed here long enough, I would give in & feed him !!  Never mind !!

Anyhoo - it's been a quiet kind of day.... forgetting about shopping & loud music.....

Tomorrow, B tells me, I have to be up bright & early.... I've got to see one of my Consultants at 9.30am - which for me, if I have a bad night, may as well be at midnight !!  It is early tho' - but- really - I don't mind... I like her (my Consultant) a lot... she makes me smile !!  If all goes well, she will let me off and reduce my pill & potions a
bit !!  That would be nice - but, we will have to see how she thinks I've done, since my last visit !!  We will have to wait & see how I get on.... but, here's hoping !!

I've just looked over at the TV - Portugal are ahead 3-2 at the moment..... come on Denmark !! Why ?  Because, I always like the team that are behind - it makes it a bit more interesting !!

Ok - back to the tape I mentioned earlier....... it's an old spool of Zeppelin, recorded off the soundboard in New York, on June 13th 1977.  It's one of several tapes I was given a few years back..... as mentioned before, by a "well known" guitarist.  He knew I liked the group, so gave me a load of old tapes he had !!

I didn't realise it was a s/b recording, until I started playing it... but... it's well good !!  the tracks are:

I know I have this show on 3 Cd's as well - but, without digging it out - I think that's an audience recording.... I honestly don't remember !!  Oh well.... it's an interesting tape & I'm glad I've got it in my collection !!

As always - don't buy bootlegs... get the official stuff !!  More another time....

I might buy myself the new Warren Haynes live Cd & DVD... which I see is out and about.  I'm not sure yet - but, I think it could be a good buy !!  I'll let you know what I decide to do... !!  I liked his last album.... so, hopefully the live Cd will be as good !!

In the post (today) B's latest instalment of her birthday ER's came.  I ordered it from some company, connected with Play.com & it was a real con job !!  It took nearly 2 weeks to get here - even tho' it was claimed to be "in stock" & would be dispatched with-in 24 hours !!  What a crock !!

I will use Play again - but not that particular company...... they are c**p !!

Anyways - B has now got 13 of the 15 seasons... only 2 more to order... plus the Cd soundtrack album.  It's 4 months to her birthday, so I have a small bit of time to do it in !!  Oh well.....

Right, I better think about being away.... I need to have an early night - or I won't be up early tomorrow & that's for sure !!
