The Longest Day............. & Linkin' Park !!

Well "Hello".....

I hope your Worlds are treating you well ?

A big "Hello" to my Malaysian reader, who has been reading a lot of my words today !!  I thank you for your time !!  It's great that so many of you take the time to log on.... I really do thank you for your time !!

Ok - it's a Wednesday night, here in England..... it's been really warm & sunny today.  So much so, that B & J spend a bit of time in the garden... cutting the hedges & having a go at the lawns.  They have really been wet, for so many days - with all the heavy rain we had over the last month !!

Anyhoo - it's all cut back now.....  Looking out of the window - the clouds are starting to build up again !!  I could see right across to the beach earlier - not now tho'... it's really getting misty out there !!  Oh well - lets hope it stays dry - just for a few days at least !!

I mention B.... she has gone into town for a gym class & to take ME in to see her boyfriend.  She (ME) has had a new phone come today, in the post and she wants to have M sort it all out for her.

Me - being an old Luddite - well, I don't actually have a mobile !!  If anybody wants me, they can either call the house phone - or come & knock on the door !!.... Maybe, even send up smoke signals !!  Ah - the good old days !!

Anyways - that's the ladies of the house... J is upstairs, which leaves me here typing these words... along to the music of the moment, which happens to be Black Sabbath.  It's the re-mastered version of their 'Born Again' album....... the 2nd disc, from their 1983 concert at the Reading Festival.

I had an old tape of the radio broadcast & when I saw it had been released officially - well, I went for it.  If nothing else - as I've no doubt written before - for the encores of 'Smoke On The Water' followed by 'Paranoid' !!  A great bit of "rock" silliness !!

It's been a quiet day, for me.... just sat here going thru' the very last of the Zeppelin Cd's and putting them away.  I still have about 5 - which are just copies of other stuff - so, I'm not too worried about them.  I'll find a home for them, at some point..... there is no
urgency !!

The Black Sabbath album is just coming to an end - it's now the latest Linkin' Park 'Living Things' Cd to have a blast !!  I enjoyed their last album - but, as yet, I've not got my head around this one !!

I mentioned the neighbour - who's Wife is leaving/has left him.... well, we spoke with him today & he seems a lot happier.  He was really upset a week or two back - but, today, he seemed much happier.  Something I can't get my head around tho' - she is still living there !!  It seems that she is moving out, in about 10 days - how mixed up is that !!

This week, she has gone up to Yorkshire.... and left her Son with P (the neighbour) !!  Talk about rubbing salt into the wounds !!  I honestly think there is more to the story - but, that's between them..... it's a real shame that people can't be more honest !!

Just before I change the subject - the lady who is leaving, claims that her boy will be happier in the town (where she is moving to).... but, how he is going to deal with that is beyond me.  Here we live in a small village, right next to the open fields & stuff.... World's different to living in a town !!  Oh well... she has made her nest......... !! Moving on.......

ME reminded me earlier - tomorrow (I think) is the longest day of the year !!  "Wow" - that's come around quick !!  Having said that - and thinking about it being dry today.... I see it's just started raining !!  Bummer !!

Ok - I've just taken my 7pm "cocktail" of pills & potions !!  So - that gives me about 2 hours, before I fall asleep & head up to bed, for the evening !!  I really wish I could take - or could get away with taking less !! Never mind - it's all good & if it helps me, from day to day - life is good !!


Sometimes - well, quite often - I feel people don't take my illness very seriously..... after all, I "look" Ok !!  Then, we see someone on TV - usually in some kind of 'soap opera' - who is portrayed with what I have & - I think- "Hell, I'm like that most days"....  I just wish (sometimes) people could understand things a little & be a shade more understanding of what I'm going thru' on a day to day basis !!


Never mind - enough moaning..... I'm still flapping my arms !!

The 1980 shows are all pretty much the same..... lasting about 2 hours, with little (or no) change in the set list.  I'm not a great fan of them - but, having said that - they are all worth having in the collection !!  Most of them have come out as soundboard recordings, which really gives very little in any kind of "atmosphere".... but, it's all good.  as always, don't buy bootlegs - buy the official stuff instead !!!!  More tomorrow - or whenever I get back again.........


Oh one thing.... England won the football, last night !!  Ok - so, they were lucky that the goal wasn't allowed - but, it only went over the line a "little bit" !!  It happened to England in the last World Cup - so, it was - sort of - poetic justice that it should happen again.... this time in our favour !!


By "our" - I mean the English team.  Me - I couldn't really care less if we won or not !!  I am not a big football fan !!
