A Car Crash & The Saga Of The Watch Strap !!

A BI G "Hello" to my new reader in Iraq !!  Welcome to my World of madness - I thank you & everybody else who has logged in today !!  It's great to know you are all out there in Internet space !!

Ok it's a Wednesday night in England... about 6.15pm, so more evening, rather than night... anyhoo.  As I type, ME is sat a few feet away & J is behind me.... B has just gone out to a gym class - tho' I think she wanted to stay home really !!  I keep telling her, she doesn't have to go - but, she wants to keep the weight down & this is her way of doing it !!

As for me - I've still got some kind of bug & I've not had the best 24 hours.... I actually went back to bed this afternoon.... mainly as I didn't sleep too well overnight !!  B & ME went out shopping, so I took the chance to catch up on some "zzzzzzzzsssss" !!  Oh well.....

It's been a quiet kind of day really.  I did intend to do so much, only to find I've done bu**er all !!  Never mind - there is always tomorrow... well, maybe !!  I think I might be heading, with B, into town - I'll explain.

A few days or so so back, I had a new watch reach me, in the post.   For some reason, the strap wasn't long enough to go around my wrist - so, we went to one of the better shops, in town, & ordered a new one.  So far, so good..... altho' - at £15 - I thought it was a little steep, price wise.

Anyhoo - the watch came back - complete with new strap.... and it's also too short !!  B took it back to town, to the shop & they want another £13, just to put it right !!  How hard can it be, to order a longer strap !!  Anyways - tomorrow, B & probably my good self, are going back in, to get the money back & then find another place..... there has to be somebody who can sell me a watch strap !!  Oh well - such is life !!

So ends the saga of the watch strap - for today, at least !!

In the post today, the new Joe Bonamassa Cd reached me... "Yippeee" !!  It's called 'Driving Towards The Daylight' and as I type, it's my music of the moment.  It's on it's second play thru' & so far, so good !!  I'll give it another go tomorrow - as I've lost the plot so far tonight !!  Hopefully, his last DVD, will be here later this week..... with the 4 day Jubilee holiday, everything is all behind, post wise..... but, I hope it'll be here this week !!

I had a phone call earlier, from the people repairing my Cd player..... all being well, it will be here on Friday !!  I'm looking forward to having it back !!  Ok - so, I have 2 others I can play - but, the 5 disc player is my favourite, so I'm looking forward to getting it back & wired in !!  I just hope it's been "fixed" !!  If not, it can go back again.....especially if all that they've done it give the laser a clean !!  I could of done that here !!  Oh well - we will see what happens on Friday - tho' it will be a day or 2 before I'll be sure if it's fixed !!

There is some sad news here - in our little area of the World.  Yesterday afternoon there was a car crash, which has left 4 people dead & one seriously ill in hospital...... our prayers are with the families tonight.

It's a sad fact, that the bit of road, where the crash happened, claims at least one person per year - in some form of accident or another... this one tho' is bad tho' and puzzling.  The 2 cars involved hit "head on" - to us it all seems strange.... but, as I say - the families are in our thoughts & prayers.

It puts life into some kind of focus.........

When I say it's a "new" one - it's an old concert, but I forgot I had a soundboard recording of it.....  !!  I do misplace stuff here, I really do... had it not been for the fact I'm sorting out the various boxes - well, I would of forgotten about it all !!

It's the standard 1977 set list, a few little 'tweaks' during the solo's - 'No Quarter' is playing as I type... but, it's great to have another s/b recording in the collection !!  As always - don't buy bootlegs - buy the official stuff instead !!  More another time - if I'm back tomorrow - from 1972..... onwards, ever onwards !!

Ok - with tomorrow in mind, I better be on my ways !!  I don't really have any major plans for tonight... but, I need to sort myself out a little bit, before B gets home & gets me ready for bed !!  Ain't life grand !!  Until next time...
