Little Boxes - all over the floor !!

Greetings Worlds,

So - "Here I am once more"..... after just a few days feeling like c**p, I'm back in front of my computer & typing these words to you !!  I've had a few days off - I won't bore you with all the details, but... sitting in front of a computer, well - it was way down on my list of things to do !!

Anyways - I hope, where ever you are in the World, you are all feeling good & that life has been treating you well !!  Even when I don't post anything - I'm always amazed how many of you log in !!  I thank you for your time folks !!

Ok - it's a Tuesday here in England..... as I type, the TV is on in the corner, relaying the Service from St Paul's Cathedral in London.  It's a special Jubilee service, with nearly all the Royal family in attendance - except Philip, who if poorly at the moment.  I think he is still in hospital - tho' I'm not sure about that.....

If any of you saw the 'River Pageant' a day or 2 back.... well, just look at the last bit... when the choir were singing to the Queen.  If that doesn't show you just how mad we are in the UK, well - nothing else will !!  We're mad & proud of it !!  If you have no idea what I'm talking about - check out the BBC's web site & watch for yourself !!

Right, back to today !!  As I type, Led Zeppelin are blasting out of the Bose..... just below deafening... B has gone into town, to do a bit of shopping & take in a gym visit, J is upstairs & ME is out at work.  I'm not sure exactly where today, but.... !!  So that leaves me here typing these words & thinking, I'm glad I stayed in the house today - it's really raining hard outside !!  But - in here it's dry & I'm happy, soooooo that's the main thing !!

I've only been out briefly, all weekend..... we went to town to do a little shopping & yesterday, to pick up J from the train station.  His weekend away seems to have been fun &....... well, I'm glad he went.  It's good he is still in touch with his mates from college !!  On wards........

Two days ago - I wrote a few words about a Zeppelin concert, '3 Days After'.  It is probably the best Lp to have come out of the 1973 tour & altho' the Cd really doesn't do it justice - I listed the tracks anyhoo !!  It's that Cd, that I'm playing now........ the last track, which is an extended version of 'Thank You', well - if you only ever hear that track, you should be happy !!  It's brilliant & the audience tape captures it brilliantly !!  So much atmosphere & 'power' - well, try & give it a listen !!

I don't actually have any shows from June 5th.... so, more another time........

I mentioned, last week, that I was getting anew stylus for my record deck.  Well, it came & I was able to finish the Lp's for our friend in Church.... so, they are all done now....plus, for something to do, more than any thing - I played some of my remaining vinyl albums, which was good fun !!  Ok - I know I have nearly all of them on Cd now, but.... there was just something "extra" playing them !!  I can't really explain it - but, it was a bit of fun !!  Especially the 2 Lp picture disc of Nightwish's 'Once' album !!  J gave it to me, for Father's Day, a few years back - so......

ME told me that, this years Father's Day pressy is "well cool".... to quote her !!  B says I'm going to drive her mad with it.... so, whatever it is, sounds like fun !!  It's not until June 17th (I think) - so, I will keep you up to date with whatever it turns out to be !!

I'm really puzzled by it - so........ It sounds like fun !!

Also, sounding like fun.... Lady V is sending a "goodie bag" from Atlanta....... I will again, keep you up to date with that !!  Thank you Lady V - it's all very kind of you !!  But please - no 24 year old's !!  Ho-hum.

I'm not sure when B will be home - but, I've got the room in a bit of a mess & will need to tidy that up a little bit, before she gets back !!  There are 3 boxes, with Cd's all over the place - needing to go into said boxes. She did say there was no rush - but, I ought to try & sort it out, before she gets back !!  Ho-hum (again) !!

I did plan on sorting out my computer table - but, it looks worse now, than it did before !!  Hopefully, if I can get that far - the Cd's (on the table) will get put into some of the boxes.... I'll see how things go !!

J is going down the village in a little while - there is a job advertised in one of the shop windows, which might suit his needs.  Some one wants help with their 'export business'.  I'm not positive he'll get a look in, but with his computer skills, he might stand a chance !!  He needs to go down & have a look......

I hope, once this long weekend is over - I will get my Cd player back from the shop.  If they put in a new laser unit, I will know one way or another, if my Cd's are at fault, or if - as I think - it's the Cd player itself.  If they don't replace the thing - well, that would be a bit of a waste of time !!  We'll see how things go I guess !!

Right - I better away...... so many things to do & so few brain cells to think of doing them with !!  I must put some of these boxes away tho' - before B gets back.... it should only take me the rest of the day..... well, maybe not quite that long..... but, I best get started..... so, until next time....
