A hospital visit & an early morning !!

Greetings...

It's the middle of the night, here in England - well, almost !! It's actually 12.35am - so, I'm not sure if hat counts as the "middle" but, it's well late & that's for sure !! To explain...

ME went off - to do a night shift, which started at 8pm..... so, after watching a bit of TV... B & I went off to bed. We were just about sleeping, when the 'phone went. Our beautiful Daughter has been taken into hospital, with a heart problem !!

I kid you not - she said on the 'phone, that her heart was beating really fast & - to make sure she is Ok, they called an ambulance & she was shifted off to the hospital, close to where she works !! Beyond that - I know next to nothing !! It's all a bit of a worry.... especially, as I'm here... not being able to do anything !!

B 'phoned M (ME's boyfriend) and he has driven over to our place, to pick B up. The 2 of them are then going over to the hospital, to see what is happening..... When they get there, hopefully, they will call me again & let me know what is going on !!

The problem is - it's a 45 minute drive... so, I won't know anything for at least an hour - so, I have to sit here & wait to see what is happening !! Hopefully, they will let her come home, after a check up & then, B can drive her car back, with the 2 of them in it !!

Honestly - it's all going on here......

As today is Friday (just).... I'll explain why I didn't write anything yesterday (Thursday)..... sort of !!

In a nutshell.... I didn't wake up, until lunchtime...... so, the day didn't start, more or less, until the afternoon !! I decided to try & do a bit more of the painting, in the kitchen.... and that took up a couple more hours. So - by the time, that I was finished doing all of that... well, the day had gone & I was really too knackered to do much else !! Hence, I didn't get around to posting anything new - sorry about
that !!

I wish the 'phone would ring !!

Even tho' it's very late/early... I still have some music playing. It's on very softly - so as not to wake up the village, or the cat - who is asleep a few feet away from me !!

At the moment, I'm listening to Cd 1 of the 2 Cd set 'The Who, Live At Hull, 1970'........

To explain..... In 1970, The Who wanted to release a 'live' album - which was something most bands did, around the early '70's. Anyhoo - they recorded at least 2 concerts... this one, at Hull & the other, at Leeds. It was the latter, 'Live At Leeds' which went on to be a massive seller & move The Who further along the "mega-star" road !!

A while back - it was decided to release the Hull recordings.... and that's what I'm listening to - as I type !! I'm not sure which of the two shows I prefer - but, whichever is the best, it's great to have both in the collection !!

Still no 'phone call...... !!

As a "nipper" - I really wanted all of these bands, to bring out live recordings..... it was, usually, the only chance I would get, to hear their live shows !! To actually get a live Lp - or even better, a live double album !! Well - that was hog heaven !!

Now, it seems like, I can pick up live recordings, just by dropping a hat....... there are sooooo many available !! For me, that's great - I love them..... as long time readers will know !! Oh well.....

This is all very frustrating - waiting for the 'phone to ring !! I now know, just a little, what it's like, for the family, when I'm in hospital & they need to know what is happening to me !! Oh well - as long as ME is Ok.... I can live with-out a 'phone call.... as long as our Daughter.....

....just had a 'phone call !!

ME is in hospital & they are waiting for a Dr to check her out !! I've spoken to her & she seems full of beans  - worrying about work & trying to get someone to cover her shift !! Honestly - I've told her to forget work & look out for herself !!  They're going to call me back again - from there, I will decide whether to head for bed, or wait up & see what they decided to do with her !! I will try & keep you posted.....

.... in the meantime, I'm taking a short break !!

Ok - it's now about 2am..... B has just 'phoned from the hospital & I'm glad to say, ME is on her ways home !! They've checked her over & that's about it - for tonight... so, I guess, she will see our local Dr a bit later on today.... I'm well happy now, tho'.... just a little tired !!
