Revival......... !!

Well, "Hello" everybody....

How has your day gone, so far ? Mine has been... well, more of that later....

As I type, all of the family are here - which is a changed !! B is behind me, sorting out some dishes, from last night (I guess)..... J is a few feet away, to my left - eyes wide open, looking at his mobile 'phone.... and ME - well, she is in bed, mainly as she is working all thru' tonight. She tries her best to get as much sleep, as possible, during the day - in the hope of staying awake tonight.

I was asked the other day - was I still doing my "track of the day" project ? My idea was/is - to list one track, which links in with what I'm doing or listening to, on the at actual day. Well - the short answer is "yes" and - today's track - has been 'Revival' by the Allman's.

The reason for this track, is kind of simple.......

Maggie Thatcher is being "funeralised" this morning - and, from what little I've seen of it, it looked like & sounded like, an old style "revivalism meeting" !! The great & the good were all lined up, paying their dues..... mainly as MT gave most of them their jobs - and, to be honest - I found it all very distasteful !!

Will they give Tony Blair a big send off, like this ? After all - MT wanted to be known..... according to her Son... as a "war Prime Minister"..... so, Tony Blair was in power for long enough & - I think - we were at war, for most of his stay in office.... so, will he get this kind of send off ?!

I'm not going to get into the rights & wrongs, over the whole cost thing.... but - I repeat what I said, a few days or so ago - two thirds of the country, at one time or another, didn't vote for the woman.... so, why the big "send off".... when sooooo many people, in this country of ours, are struggling with day to day costs !!

Oh well.... it's a shame it was "black tie"..... there would of been row upon row of "old school" net-workers otherwise...... nevermind - our prayers go out to her family...... hopefully, next time you're on TV, you won't be credited as the Son or Daughter of Maggie Thatcher !! Moving on.... I've had my moan of the day !! Send all "hate mail" to the above address.... preferably on a £50 note !!

When I started this blog... I wanted it to be called "Call Me Ishmael"... or something similar. Anyhoo - that address had gone - so, I settle for "Ishmael calling".... it didn't have the same ring to it... but, what the heck !!

Today - I found the "Call Me Ishmael" blog...... I don't recommend it - infact, I would go as far to advise you all, to actually stay away from it !! It's really disgusting & - no matter what you think about war.... the troops should be supported !! They do their job - it's not nice... but, they are "our boys" and really deserve all of our support, no matter which country you live in !! Moving on again......

if you've read my words before - you will know that, quite a few of the tracks, are the same - true, but... they are almost always different, from one show to another. For instance - the version of 'Blue Sky' clocks in at over 9 minutes...... so, it varies, from night to night. hence, I enjoy listening to the shows - I always get something "new" for my money !!

It's like listening to Led Zeppelin bootlegs...... more so, on the earlier tours..... no matter how many times, I play them, I always find something different !! Oh well.... I have one more show... then it will be time to buy some more !! I have 5 more to get, from the Beacon shows - then, it will be time for the 2013 Wanee festival concerts..... as yet, not played !!

I had a lovely e-mail, from Lady V... and she mentioned heading off to Wanee..... so, those concerts will get recorded & ready for sale, in the coming weeks. I hope, tho' I doubt it - that they will reach me, before I go into the hospital.... it's very unlikely tho' - as there is not enough time !!

B & J have just left, to go into town, for a meeting... it's the one J goes to, every week or so. ME will be down here soon - as B took her car, instead of ours !! mainly as ours is short of petrol - B decided to take ME's......

It's my fault... that we're short of petrol - B drove me, into Taunton, late last night... to explain.

In our area - we have a "Freegal" thingy. If someone has something, that they do not want - they put it on the "Freegal" web site & it gets posted to everybody connected... including me. Well - yesterday, a lady posted she had a brand new computer screen, that she didn't want.... so, I asked for it & out of all the people who applied, I was lucky enough to be chosen !!

My old screen - and I do mean "old" was getting a little knackered, so - I am now the proud owner of this flat screen thingy, sat in front of me !! That's why we are short of petrol - going over the hill... well, that was about a 20 mile round trip - which is more than the trip B & J have gone on, just now. Sooooo it's my fault - but, I do have a great screen !!

Anyhoo - the late trip to Taunton + staying up to watch 'I Claudius' on TV, when we got home, has left me really out of it, today !! I slept a little latter than usual.... but, I'm not feeling 100%.

As I've been a little more "sick" than usual, just lately, I'm going down to see my local Dr - on Friday afternoon - to try & change things around a bit. The morphine pills, that he put me on, a while back, don't seem to work too well - so, I'm hoping we can switch them around a bit... we'll have to wait & see !!

Right - moving on again..... I guess I ought to think about finishing for today. I am expecting a phone call, from a housing OT - which, I hope will happen, when B gets home !! I really hate answering the 'phone - especially when it's something, or someone like this !! I do get myself a little mixed up !! Oh well - that's where a Magic pill would come in - it would save all of that....... nevermind, maybe one day, if the chance presents it's self !! It's not something I can really plan..... oh well..... I best go....
