Now - a "Public Service Announcement" !!

Yesterday - as I was actually writing my blog - I had an e-mail...... I would like to quote you one small line from it....

"I hope you die this day and rot in hell"

To the anonymous person, who wrote these words to me... well, I thank you for your comments. Unfortunately - I didn't die yesterday & - as far as I know - this, where I am at the moment, is not Hell..... so, as I'm still here... well, I hope you can adjust & move on !!

I intend to... so, moving on......

It's another Saturday !! B & I went out, into town - to do a bit of food shopping - and, it wasn't too bad.... it was crowded, but - not sooooo bad, that it caused me any real problems !! It helped that I wasn't in too much pain - more of that later !!

As I type - we are all at home..... ME (I hope) is fast asleep, as she is working another night, this evening..... I think she gets a bit of a break then. Well - I hope so, at least........

J is also here - upstairs, on his computer. He (sometimes) winds us up - really B, more than me.... but, on days like today, he comes out & does something really special, which shows just what a great Son we have !! I won't go into the details, but... it was really special...... it helped us out, sooooo much !!

That just leaves B - who is out, in the side garden, attacking a tree thingy, that has fallen across part of the garden. I'll pop out, in a minute - to see how she is getting on..... I looked out, a short while ago, and she was getting lots of help from 2 of the cats !! Forget the cats - J has just gone out, to help with the higher parts.

While we were in town, earlier - I got B to take me into the hardware store... that was a waste of space !! I need to get some new shelves, for the kitchen. It's kind of hard to explain, but they can only be supported, at either end. I can't put any brackets, midway along, as there is nothing solid enough to fix them to !!

No problem, or so I thought.... The old shelves were about 15 mm think - so, as they were bowing, in the middle (from B's cookbooks) - I thought I would get some 30 mm stuff..... as long as I could cut it, to fit, it would be no problem...... but, not a chance !!

I looked at all the wood that was there.... plenty of planking, 4 x 8 board... everything but what I needed !! I asked a guy, did they have anything like I needed...... honestly, he looked at me like a was a Martian or something !! Oh well - there are a couple of other places, that I can go to - in town - but..... !!

The next time, I'll try one of the builder's merchants. I don't mind, too much, what the wood cost - as long as it's the right stuff !! Nevermind.......

The music of the moment is Warren Zevon's album of the same name. It's a 2 Cd set - remastered, with extra tracks & - if you read my earlier posts... I picked it up, about a week ago. I had the first Cd version - but, it's really good to get this newer version, with the extra tracks & stuff..... even if the Cd's themselves are not overly long !! it's all music - so what the heck !!

Back to the above... I mentioned not being in too much pain. Well, last evening, I saw my local Dr and explained that the pills I was on, were really not working too well..... well, not anymore. Anyhoo - he went thru' his books & decided that, altho' I'm on a fairly high dose of the morphine pills, he could "up it a bit" - just until I have my surgery.... which, if you're counting... should happen in the next 37 or 38 days !!

So - since last night... I've been getting the "improved remedy" & - it really is working !! This time - yesterday - I was really fed up with the pain... today tho' (so far) everything is going well..... which is good !!

I also have the "proper" morphine - as I call it... the liquid stuff, so - I've got that, as an extra..... but, so fay... I haven't needed it !! I'm well happy !!

Oh, I forgot... in the post this morning, I had a 2 Cd Nils Lofgren Band album - simply called 'Live'. It came out in 2002... so, it's quite old... but, the bits I've played sound pretty good. The tracks are:

I've not had chance, to play it all the ways thru' - but, I've really enjoyed the bits I've heard so far. It'll be interesting to compare it to NG's 'Night After Night' 2 Lp set - which I picked up, quite a few weeks ago now !! Oh well.....

..... I've done well, for live stuff, over the last few weeks or so..... lots of goodies !!

I see, on the news, that they picked up the other suspected Boston bomber. I really don't know too much, about the details - but, I understand, that they found him, in a boat, in someones yard !! If you've not seen it, or heard it, check out what the guys Uncle said to them.... he was well pissed off with his Nephews !! Our thoughts & prayers still go out, to all of those involved.......

Right - as I'm not dead... my plans for today !! I really need to get the piles of Cd's in front of me, sorted out !! I must have about 30 of them, that -somehow - have found their ways to my computer table !! It's really my fault... I should put them away - as & when I've finished with them, instead of just leaving them here !!

Oh well.... that's a plan..... hopefully, I will be fit enough, to go to Church tomorrow. I really need to get back, into going... especially as I will be unable to go, for a while, after the surgery !! nevermind - I'll cross that bridge, as & when I get to it !!
